Dunia Sibomana won a New York high school state title as an 8th grader. He grew up in the Congo and when he was six years old, he and two relatives were attacked by chimpanzees. Dunia was the only one who survived the attack, but his face was severely damaged and he had lost a finger.

Eventually Dunia was brought to the USA for surgery. In the process he met Miguel Rodriguez, a wrestling coach in Long Island, New York. The two hit if off and Miguel ended up adopting Dunia. Dunia has gone on to thrive and ended up winning a New York high school state title as an 8th grader.
