Location: Garden City High School 2720 Buffalo Way Garden City, KS 67846 Entries:Coaches will receive an e-mail containing individual usernames and passwords. Weigh-In: Teams may weigh-in at home before departure on Friday or at 7:00 a.m. on Friday, January 29thin the Auxiliary gym.There will be a total of ?? lb. allowance (?? consecutive days + 2 lb. growth allowance).If weighing in at home, please e-mail your weigh-in sheet to Paul Finch .There will be a check scale available throughout the day in the Girl`s Locker Room. Friday Night Weigh-in:Friday night weigh-in will be held in the Tunnel on the south side of the Competition Gym (same place as morning weigh-in).There will be a 4 lb. allowance (2 lb. consecutive days + 2 lb. growth allowance). There will two options for weighing in.Option 1: Wrestlers may weigh-in within one hour of the completion of their weight class.Option 2: As long as the wrestler did not participate in the Option 1 weigh-in they may weigh in within one hour of the conclusion of the heavyweight matches. Seeding Meeting: The coaches meeting will be Thursday, January 25th at 8:00 p.m. in the auditorium, (located across from main office). If you cannot attend the seeding meeting, wrestlers will be seeded based on information put in TrackWrestling by coaches. We will also be using TrackWrestling to seed the event.. Seeding Criteria is as follows: 1. Head to Head victories 2. Common Opponents 3. Fargo / HS Nationals placing 4. State Champion 5. Rocky Welton Champion 6. Rocky Welton Placer 7. Record (minimum 10 matches) Team Camps: Teams will camp in the bleachers in the AUXULARY GYM. Teams will not be permitted to camp in the competition gym. Spectator Seating: Fans and Parents will be seated in the upper deck of the competition gym. Format: Double elimination. Competitors will be placed in a 32 man bracket. We will medal the top 6 places, but wrestle out to 16th place. Matches will be wrestled on the `Next Available` mat. This counts as 4 competition points for Kansas and Colorado teams. Mat Locations: We will utilize 6 mats for the tournament, and all mats will be in the competition gym. Rules: The NFHS Wrestling Rule Book and Kansas Weight Control Plan shall serve as the official rules for this tournament. The following weights will be recognized: 106, 113, 120, 126, 132, 138, 145, 152, 160, 170, 182, 195, 220 and 285. Bracket Copies: Copies of brackets will be provided in between select rounds. Updated brackets will be placed on west wall. Awards: We will medal the top 6 places. Brackets will be given to the top 3 finishers. The top 3 teams will receive plaques. We will also award the Ed Cramer Outstanding Wrestler award. Locker Rooms: We will have locker rooms available. Towels will not be furnished. Pass Gate Information: Please fill out the pass gate information sheet and return it to us by Wednesday, January 25th. No passes will be honored. Ticket Prices: Adult All Tournament Pass (Includes finals) - $20.00 Student (K-12) All Tournament Pass - $10.00 Adult Session Pass - $10.00 Student (K-12) Session Pass - $4.00 Hospitality/Concessions: A hospitality room will be available for coaches, tournament officials and tournament workers. Hospitality room will be located in the cafeteria area. A concession stand will be available for fans. Please do not allow your wrestlers or managers into the hospitality room.There will be no food or drinks allowed in the gymnasium, other than athletes having water on the floor. Coolers will be allowed in team camp area in the Auxiliary gym. Cheerleader Hospitality: A hospitality room for cheerleaders will be located in the Dance Studio on the Northeast side of the upper deck in the competition gym. Parking:Spectator parking is in the North parking lot. Buses may park on the outer lane in the bus loop.
