Safety Plan

World of Wrestling's Additional Safety Plan for COVID-19 during Reno Worlds in Tulsa

*This plan was developed by doctors who were appointed by World of Wrestling to be the WOW Task Force. These doctors have been actively involved in getting athletes back to college campuses and World of Wrestling is using their knowledge gained along the way to apply this safety plan.

Special thanks to:

Dr. Dennis Blankenship- Clinical Professor of emergency medicine at OSU center for health sciences

Dr. Aaron Lane- Chair of department of emergency medicine at OSU center for health sciences

Dr. Jon Robins- Clinical assistant Professor of emergency medicine at OSU center for health sciences

Below are the actions implemented by WOW:

  • All competitors must have a signed Covid-19 waiver to turn in at weigh-ins (waivers are available on our website, worldofwrestling-roller.com)
  • Masks or face shields will be required to be worn inside the building
  • WOW will use non contact thermometers to check everyone entering the building, anyone with a temp above 100.4 will be turned away
  • 3 sessions per day (this puts only 1/3 of the athletes and fans in the building at once)
  • Mop and sanitize mat areas after every session
  • Spray the highly traveled areas with a Hypochlorous Acid solution after every session
  • Event is being held in a 175,000 square foot facility with 4 sections of mats with adequate spacing to allow for social distancing
  • WOW will have marked areas on seating and floor to promote social distancing
  • Hand sanitizing stations are placed throughout the venue and also at each scorers table
  • Wrestlers will not shake coaches hands after the match (as traditionally done)
  • "High Risk" spectators encouraged to watch online through Flowrestling
  • Encouraging fans and athletes to be tested prior to travel
