All matches will be wrestled on full mats (six) . All wrestlers will be grouped by both age category and weight into 4 person brackets. Each wrestler will wrestle one-another in their bracket (round-robin format). Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place wrestlers.

TECH FALLS will occur when a 15 point margin is achieved; this rule applies to all age groups
A wrestler can move up oneage group with the permission of the tournament director, provided this request is made before bracketing is completed. A wrestler can only compete in one bracket for each session.
Notice:
Each Club’s director or designated person for that club will check in with the Tournament Director, inform the Director of any known NO SHOW wrestlers. Note: There are no refunds for no-shows.
All wrestlers must check in by the end of the Skin check-in time period to verify they do not have any contagious skin conditions. Wrestlers will not be admitted into the tournament if they are not checked in on time.
It is the responsibility of the Club Directors, or the designated person for that club, to check with the head person running the Skin check in area to see if any of their wrestlers have not checked in by 8:15am for the morning session and 11:45am for the afternoon session.
ALL Coaches must have USA Wrestling leader card and be copper certified!!!
HEAD GEAR ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL AGE GROUPS and ALL WRESTLERS WITH BRACES ON THEIR TEETH MUST WEAR PROTECTIVE MOUTH GUARDS
Registration- PAYMENT ONLINE ONLY
Pre-registration is required. No Walk-ins are permitted.
- Only Sanctioned USAW Clubs may submit tournament registrations
- Wrestlers who are not attached to a sanctioned club are requested to contact the nearest sanctioned club to register with or the Tournament Director.
- Out-of-state wrestlers may pre-register with the condition that they follow the same rules that USAWCT Clubs follow.
- Out-of-state wrestlers must contact the Tournament Director to Register. The tournament Director will give you all the information that they will need for you to register. Registration closes at 10 PM the Friday before the tournament. There is no guideline on how early they may be sent.
- The Tournament Director will reply to your email confirming receipt of your registration.
- All registrations must be accompanied with a valid USA Wrestling card number for each listed wrestler.
Last-minute USA Wrestling cards must be purchased on www.usawmembership.com PRIOR to Wednesday, January 14th .
Pre-registered wrestlers who do not show up for the tournament will be charged the full registration fee. The submitting club is responsible for this fee to be paid the morning of the tournament along with all the other registered wrestlers on the registration form.

1st wrestler = $30
2nd wrestler = $25 and 3rd & subsequent wrestlers = $20
Spectator admission - $5.00 admission fee / Free age 12 and under, or if you hold a current USAW Coaches card.
Weigh-ins-
Wrestlers are permitted to only register and wrestle in one (1) bracket regardless of staying within their own age group or not.
- Madison weight class system will be followed. All wrestlers will be grouped relative to both their age and weight. There are no published and strict weight classes to follow during the regular season. The maximum weight distribution will be no more than 10% without coaches’ approval.
- All wrestlers will be weighed in before the tournament starts. Weights reported by Coaches will be corrected if over a 2 pound difference.
- Weight challenges during a tournament are performed at the tournament director’s discretion. When a wrestler’s weight is challenged by another wrestler (Coach or Parent), then the challenging wrestler will also be weighed in. The tournament director must notify Steve Fulco within 2 days of any weight issues or challenges.
The Code of Conduct Rules will be strictly enforced.
Coaches and Spectators Conduct--- This code of conduct has been established to ensure that there is a defined method for the handling of unacceptable conduct by coaches at USAWCT sanctioned wrestling events. The responsibility of the assigned officials and the USAWCT Board of Directors is described in the document posted on the website (ctusawrestling.org)
Directions:
Take Route I-84 West to Exit 6. At the end of the Ramp, go right onto Rt. 37N. Follow Route 37 to the center of New Fairfield (APPROX 6 MILES). Take a left at the stop light onto Rte 39S and follow it to the top of the hill. Bear left at the triangle, and then take a quick right onto Gillotti Rd, be sure the Schools are on your right hand side. Follow Gillotti Rd. for 1 mile. Middle School entrance is on your Right. Please note that the HS/MS complex is one-way only. You may have to park in one of the two ball field parking lots adjacent to the driveway and walk up to the school entrance.
