The Luther Open will go down on Saturday, November 12 with wrestling beginning at 10:00 am (ET). The #2 Iowa Hawkeyes have released the wrestlers they are sending to this event including some of their best young athletes who are redshirting this year. Check out the full list below.

Iowa lineup competing at the Luther Open:

• 133: Cullan Schriever (unattached - elite bracket)
• 133: Jace Rhodes (freshmen-only bracket)
• 157: Joe Kelly (unattached - elite bracket)
• 184: Mickey Griffith (elite bracket)
• 197: Kolby Franklin (elite bracket)
• 285: Bradley Hill (elite bracket)
• 285: Easton Fleshman (freshmen-only bracket)
• 285: Gage Marty(freshmen-only bracket)

Of the above wrestlers, Cullan Schriever and Kobly Franklin are the stand-outs. Cullan Schriever was the #66 overall recruit out of high school and put together a solid year last season as Austin DeSanto’s backup. Schriever was set to be Iowa’s 133-pound starter this year until Northern Iowa transfer Brody Teske joined the Hawkeyes. Now, Schriever will likely stay in redshirt and compete in open tournaments during the 2022-23 season.

Kolby Franklin was the #48 recruit in the class of 2022 and notably lost to NCAA runner-up Jacob Warner by a close, 4-2 decision last week in Iowa’s wrestle-offs. The Luther Open will be Franklin’s first college tournament and an opportunity for Iowa fans to see their next 197-pound starter.
