As we near closer to national signing day on November 10, expect all of the top recruits in the class of 2023 to announce their commitments. On Tuesday, Oregon State landed three recruits when Aden Attao, McKinley Robbins, and TJ McDonnell made their commitment public.

Of those three, Attao is the most credentialed and currently comes in at #47 on the class of 2023 Big Board and ranked #7 at 285. Attao won a bronze medal at this year’s U20 world championship in Greco and won Fargo titles in both greco and freestyle last summer. On top of that, he’s coming off a 4th place finish at Super 32 and will be a great addition for the Beavers at heavyweight.

Attao’s commitment to Oregon State’s 2023 class gives the Beavers 4 total commits ranked in the top 100 in our class of 2023 big board. He joins #65 DJ Gillett, #86 Dagen Condomitti, #90 Justin Rademacher, and 2022 Idaho state finalist Cade White as future Beavers ranked on the big board.

TJ McDonnell is currently ranked #10 in the country at 182 pounds and will likely suit up at 184 pounds for the Beavers once he makes it to Corvallis. McDonnell placed 3rd last year at the California state tournament and continued to find success over the summer and fall. At Fargo, McDonnell brought home 5th place in the junior freestyle division and most recently placed 6th at Super 32.

McKinley Robbins isn’t currently ranked but was a 2021 Iowa State Champion at 120 pounds and was runner-up at 132 pounds in 2022. Robbins is another solid recruit out of Sebolt’s Wrestling Academy in Iowa and projects as a 141-pounder in college.
