Skylar Little Soldier has had quite a year. So has Shelby Moore. The two will meet for the third time this year after facing each other in the best-of-three series at U17 Nationals in May. Moore won two straight matches — 11-0 and 5-0 — over Little Solider to make the 57-kg U17 World team. Little Solider represented the United States at the Pan-American Championships and won a silver medal.

Moore (Buckley, Washington) won the High School Recruiting Showcase in April and won the 16U and Junior National titles in Fargo last year at 122 pounds. She is entering her senior year at White River High School and is a 2022 Washington Mat Classic champion.

Little Solider (Welch, Minnesota) won 16U Nationals in 2021 and 2022 at 127 pounds and moved up to 132 pounds this year for Juniors where she finished second. She is entering her junior year at Hastings High School and was the program’s first Minnesota girls state champion earlier this year.
