Hammers To Watch

#8 Koy Buesgens (Junior/145) — Buesgens rocketed up the national rankings last October after a superb showing at the Super 32. His runner-up finish there vaulted him from outside the rankings to #5 at 132. The North Carolina State recruit is up a couple weights for Fargo and he’s chasing All-America honors for the third time after placing eighth in 2019 at 100 pounds in the 16U freestyle division and sixth last year in Junior Greco at 138.

#16 Zach Hanson (Junior/145) — Swept the 132-pound 16U titles in both styles last summer in Fargo. Since then, the Stanford commit has captured his first state title after a pair of runner-up finishes and he went 7-0 in freestyle at the Junior Duals.

#14 Alan Koehler (Junior/120) — A four-time Fargo All-American — Koehler has placed twice in each style — who has never finished lower than fourth in the FargoDome. The Nebraska commit placed third in both styles last summer in the Junior division.

#19 Brandon Morvari (Junior/113) — A returning Fargo runner-up who’s coming off a sparkling 7-0 freestyle performance at the Junior Duals, where he outscored his opponents by a combined 59-3 count.

#6 Gavin Nelson (Junior/195) — The Minnesota commit is back in Fargo for the first time since 2019 when he won a 16U Greco title and placed fifth in freestyle. He missed last year’s tournament while competing at the Cadet World Championships in Budapest. The physical rising senior went 54-2 this past season on his way to his second state title.

#8 Michael Olson (Junior/113) — A recent addition to the national rankings at 106. Olson followed up a state championship run by going 3-0 at the Junior Duals, where he notched a pair of techs and also downed fellow Fargo All-American Dru Ayala.

#3 Ryder Rogotzke (Junior/182) — Like Nelson, Rogotzke missed last year’s tournament to compete in Budapest. The Navy recruit was a 16U Greco All-American in 2019. He captured a Super 32 title last October before a 56-1 junior season that culminated with a state title.

Up-And-Coming Prospects Who Need To Be On Your Radar

HM Bryce Burkett (16U/170) — Compiled a 46-4 record as a freshman this past season on his way to a third-place finish at the state tournament at 160 pounds. Coming off a 4-0 freestyle performance at the Junior Duals, where he notched shutout techs in all three of his contested matches.

#15 Landon Robideau (16U/132) — Ranked the #19 prospect on the 2025 Big Board. Wrapped up a 46-1 freshman season with his first state title after state runner-up finishes as a seventh- and eighth-grader. Reached the Fargo 16U finals last year in freestyle.

#17 Tyson Charmoli (16U/132) — Elevated himself into the national rankings with a strong performance at the U17 World Team Trials, where he placed fourth and notched wins against Omar Ayoub, Tanner Frothinger and Tyler Vazquez.

HM Jed Wester (Junior/160) — A state runner-up this past season as a sophomore, Wester is coming off a 4-1 freestyle performance at the Junior Duals, where he notched an 8-3 win against three-time Fargo champ Jordan Williams.
