Penn State Picks Up Verbal From Freshman Hammer
PA state champion Dalton Perry is staying in-state.
Penn State fans can continue to celebrate. One week after winning the NCAA team title, they've picked up a big verbal commitment. Central Mountain High School freshman Dalton Perry announced that he plans to continue his wrestling career at PSU on social media Sunday.
Perry was a PIAA state champion as a freshman this year going 41-2 en route to the AAA 126 title. Prior to his freshman year, the Pennsylvania native took 7th at Fargo and 4th at Super 32. He's currently ranked #16 in the high school national rankings at 126 lbs.
Watch Dalton Perry win a Pennsylvania state title as a freshman below.
Perry trains at David Taylor's M2 Training Center outside of State College. As he is just a freshman, coaches are legally not allowed to have been in contact with him yet. This also means that he is available to speak with other coaches and go on other campus visits when the time comes.
