125

Seeds

1. Anthony Noto, Lock Haven

2. Brock Bergelin, Central Michigan

3. Logan Heil, Cleveland State

4. Jake Ferri, Kent State

5. Tyler Klinsky, Rider

6. Joey Fischer, Clarion

7. Oscar Sanchez, Ohio

8. Ben Monn George, Mason

Allocations: 1

Earned By: Noto

Anthony Noto is having an excellent freshman season. After transferring from NC State this past summer, Noto has gone 26-1 with the only loss coming in overtime. However, he has yet to face two-seed Brock Bergelin.

133

Seeds

1. Richie Koehler, Rider

2. Derek Spann, Buffalo

3. Gio Disabato, Ohio

4. Gable Strickland, Lock Haven

5. Brendon Fenton, Kent State

6. Cole Rhone, Bloomsburg

7. Jacob Manley, Cleveland State

8. Vince Perez, Central Michigan

Allocations: 1

Earned By: Koehler

Another weight where the top seed earned the NCAA allocation spot for the conference and  is coming into the conference tournament undefeated against the MAC, but has yet to wrestle the #2 seed. Don’t sleep on 2X NCAA qualifier Derek Spann.

141

Seeds

1. Dresden Simon, Central Michigan

2. Quinn Kinner, Rider

3. Seth Koleno, Clarion

4. Kyran Hagan, Ohio

5. Gabe Willochell, Edinboro

6. Kaden Cassidy, George Mason

7. Saul Ervin, SIUE

8. Josh Mason, Bloomsburg

Allocations: 3

Earned By: Simon, Koleno, Hagan

Top-seeded Dresden Simon isn’t just the best wrestler at the weight, but one of the best wrestlers in the conference. Currently ranked #7 in the country, Simon has wins over Clay Carlson, Stevan Micic, and Grant Willits this season. In addition, the Chip gave Jaydin Eierman all he could handle at Collegiate Duals. Although he didn’t earn an allocation, Kinner is a solid two-seed. He lost in a wild 10-8 match to Simon early in the season. However, he got the better of three-seed Seth Koleno in a tamer 4-2 match.

149

Seeds

1. Marcus Robinson, Cleveland State

2. Brent Moore, Clarion

3. Alex Madrigal, George Mason

4. John Arceri, Buffalo

5. Corbyn Munson, Central Michigan

6. Alec Hagan, Ohio

7. Kody Komara, Kent State

8. Anthony Cheloni, Northern Illinois

Allocations: 5

Earned By: Munson, Moore, Robinson, Madrigal, Hagan

This is potentially Cleveland’s State’s best shot at an individual title. Deandre Nassar at 184 is solid but is the three-seed. Now, Marcus Robinson recently lost to Alec Hagan, so this is far from a done deal. Hagan lost to the #5, #4, #3, and #2 seeds, however, which is how he ended up with the six-seed. I do not expect this bracket to go chalk.

157

Seeds

1. Johnny Lovett, Central Michigan

2. Jordan Slivka, Ohio

3. Ben Barton, Lock Haven

4. Alex Carida, Bloomsburg

5. Michael Petite, Buffalo

6. Avery Bassett, George Mason

7. Anthony Gibson, Northern Illinois

8. Bobby Pryhocki, Kent State

Allocations: 2

Earned By: Lovett, Slivka

Johnny Lovett is a heavy favorite to win this bracket. What really catches my eye is Michael Petite at the five-seed. A returning national qualifier, Petite is 0-2 against Alex Carida in his career but will be a tough match.

165

Seeds

1. Izzak Olejnik, Northern Illinois

2. Ashton Eyler, Lock Haven

3. Riley Smucker, Cleveland State

4. Tracy Hubbard, Central Michigan

5. Noah Grover, Buffalo

6. Brady Chrisman, Kent State

7. Dylan Kohn, Edinboro

8. Tyler Kocak, George Mason

Allocations: 3

Earned By: Smucker, Eyler, Olejnik

In two MAC Championship appearances, Izzak Olejnik only has two losses. I would be very surprised if it became three this year. After making the round of 16 at last year’s NCAA tournament, he’s only lost top-10 opponents this season. The real question at 165 is can Tracy Hubbard get in. He wrestled Riley Smucker to a two-point match at the Cleveland State Open in December.

174

Seeds

1. Mason Kauffman, Northern Illinois

2. Sal Perrine, Ohio

3. Bret Fedewa, Central Michigan

4. Logan Messer, George Mason

5. Jay Nivison, Buffalo

6. John Worthing, Clarion

7. Tyler Stoltzfus, Lock Haven

8. Kevin Gschwendtner, SIUE

Allocations: 2

Earned By: Kauffman, Perrine

Sal Perrine has definitely burst onto the scene this year as a true freshman for Ohio.     21 - 2, his only losses are to Mason Kauffman and Ethan Smith of Ohio State. A 3-2 match against Kauffman I wouldn’t be completely shocked if Perrine could get round two. Should be a fun final if it isn’t blown up by Bret Fedewa or Logan Messer.

184

Seeds

1. Brit Wilson, Northern Illinois

2. Colin McCracken, Kent State

3. Deandre Nassar, Cleveland State

4. Kyle Davis, George Mason

5. Ethan Ducca, Edinboro

6. Zayne Lehman, Ohio

7. Sergio Vilalobos, SIUE

8. Peter Acciardi, Buffalo

Allocations: 2

Earned By: Ducca, Wilson

Brit Wilson is ranked #8 in the country and as big a favorite to win as anyone at this tournament. He’s previously majored the #2 and #3 seeds. With only two auto-qualifying spots at the weight, that bottom half semifinal will be huge.

197

Seeds

1. Will Feldkamp, Clarion

2. Aaron Bolo, Central Michigan

3. Ben Smith, Cleveland State

4. Sam Mitchell, Buffalo

5. Cody Mulligan, Edinboro

6. Parker McClellan, Lock Haven

7. Tyler Bates, Kent State

8. Jon List, George Mason

Allocations: 1

Earnedy By: Feldkamp

Will Feldkamp is coming into this tournament with a solid 17-3 record, but has yet to face the Aaron Bolo or Ben Smith this season. Can either one of them knock off the fifth year senior and steal the spot at NCAAs?

285

Seeds

1. Matt Stencel, Central Michigan

2. Isaac Reid, Lock Haven

3. Colton McKiernan, SIUE

4. Shane Noonan, Bloomsburg

5. Tyler Bagoly, Clarion

6. David Szuba, Rider

7. Terrese Aaron, Northern Illinois

8. Toby Cahill, Buffalo

Allocations: 2

Earned By: Stencel, Reid

Matt Stencel is trying to become the one and only 5X MAC champion. A 4X national qualifier and 1X All-American, he has been the staple of contingency for Central Michigan at the closing spot. A pinner to boot, it has been a pleasure to watch Stencel compete and it’s time to soak in one last conference tournament for the big man.
