So Many Top 10's Go Down - Week 14 Upsets
Every upset from the past week of NCAA D1 wrestling.

The past week of college wrestling had multiple top-10 wrestlers in the country fall to lower-ranked individuals. Take a look below at a breakdown of the biggest upsets along with a full list of upsets from the past week in NCAA D1 wrestling.
Missouri’s Unlikely Upset Leads To Dual Victory
The Missouri Tigers took out the Oklahoma State Cowboys in a thrilling, 21-20 dual meet win. There were a variety of ways the Tigers could have achieved victory but few would have predicted the difference being Sean Harman. Missouri was without their starting 174 pounder, #12 Peyton Mocco, but it didn’t matter as the “back-up” Harman was able to secure the 5-4 victory over #9 Dustin Plott.
The Missouri crowd was hyped after Harman’s win:

Gabe Willochell Surprises Dresden Simon
Going into the dual against Edinboro, Central Michigan’s #5 Dresden Simon was 13-2 on the season with ranked wins over #9 Clay Carlson, #12 Grant Willits, and HM Ryan Anderson. Simon looked to be on his way to a dominant win over Gabe Willochell but the Edinboro freshman had other plans. Simon, on top and up 12-1, went for a roll-through tilt when Willochell hit a slick counter and caught Simon on his back to secure the first-period fall.

Lewan And Massa Propel Michigan Over Nebraska
#3 Michigan defeated #12 Nebraska Friday night in a tight, 20-13 dual. While the Wolverines were favorites on paper, they needed two key upsets to defeat the Cornhuskers. Those came by way of #13 Will Lewan’s overtime victory over #8 Peyton Robb and #6 Logan Massa’s 4-1 decision over #5 Mikey Labriola. Lewan used incredible defense in the overtime frame and was ultimately able to secure the match-winning takedown off a go behind on an errant shot from Robb. Massa controlled most of the match against Labriola - securing riding time and icing the match with a late takedown. Take a look at highlights from both matches below.

Terukina Secures 2nd Consecutive Top-Ten Upset
Last weekend Iowa State’s 125 pounder, #18 Kysen Terukina handed Trevor Mastrogiovanni (then ranked #5) his first loss of the season in a 2-1 victory. Terukina went back to work this past weekend and took out returning All-American, #10 Killian Cardinale. The difference for Terukina Friday night against Cardinale came in the third period with the match tied at 4. Terukina was able to get to a right-side single leg and fight through Cardinale’s defense for the takedown. Prior to the Big 12 tournament, Terukina will close out his regular season with consecutive ranked matches against #21 Brody Teske (Feb 11) and #16 Noah Surtin (Feb 16).

Buckeyes Get Big Upsets Over Rutgers
Ohio State was without starters Carson Kharchla and Kaleb Romero against Rutgers on Sunday. Despite being short-handed, Rocky Jordan and Gavin Hoffman came through to help lead the Buckeyes to victory in a 19-14 dual win. Jordan, who is currently sitting behind #5 Kaleb Romero at 184 pounds, took out returning All-American John Poznanski in a close, 4-3 victory. Then at 197, #20 Gavin Hoffman won 4-2 with a takedown in overtime over #13 Greg Bulsak. Take a look at highlights from both matches below.
