Koy Buesgens had one of the most impressive Super 32 performances of anyone in the field which led many wrestling fans to speculate about his recruiting prospects. They didn't have to wait long to find out where Buesgens would land.

The #5 ranked 132-pounder in the country has decided to continue his academic and athletic career at NC State after he graduates in 2023. He's an important piece in the 2023 recruiting class for the Wolfpack, a program that has received commitments from five recruits in the top 100 of the 2022 Big Board including #5 Dylan Fishback, #14 Matt Singleton, #20 Jackson Arrington, #22 Chase Horne, and #72 Finn Solomon.

Coach Popolizio's staff has become notorious for identifying recruits before they make massive improvements, and Buesgens fits that category. His run to the Super 32 finals was unexpected by people outside Buesgens' immediate circle and, of course, the NC State staff who told Buesgens that he was capable of that kind of performance.

Koy Buesgens' victories at Super 32 included ranked wins over #6 Emilio Ysaguirre, #10 Mac Church, and #14 Greyson Clark.
