Evan Wick has announced his new college destination. He announced his decision today on FloWrestling Radio Live.

The two-time NCAA All-American is headed to Cal Poly. Rumors regarding Wick's departure have swirled for almost a year now, but they picked back up in on May 7 when he entered the transfer portal. In the end, he chose Cal Poly over Penn State.

Wick will be entering Cal Poly alongside a recruiting class that includes his brother, Luka, the #45 recruit in the class of 2021. He will fit into the lineup at 165 lbs, right beside 174-pounder Bernie Truax who finished 4th at NCAAs in 2021.

Wick has spent the last five seasons in Madison, Wisconsin, as a member of the Badgers where he's compiled a record of 85-17 and never failed to qualify for the NCAA tournament. After redshirting his first year Wick finished in third place at the NCAAs with wins over Alex Marinelli, Logan Massa, and Chance Marsteller. In 2019 Wick posted a 32-6 record and finished fourth. Despite being injured his junior season, Wick qualified for the NCAA tournament before its cancellation.

On the freestyle scene, Wick won the 2020 U23 Nationals and most recently finished in third place at the Olympic Trials.
