Thousands of wrestlers took the mats in Virginia Beach this weekend to try and prove themselves against some formidable competition. Some of the paths these champions navigated were eye opening. All the champions deserve respect and recognition. 

Now, of the 55 total finals, these 10 really stand out. These are the 10 NHSCA High School National finals that are worth going back and rewatching be it for their excitement and/or the level of wrestling they displayed.

Freshman 113: Colby Crouch (IL) vs #15 Ryan Bennett (OH)

Junior 120: #4 Joey Cruz (CA) vs #4 Kyle Montaperto (NC)

Unsurprisingly, Joey Cruz looked impressive all tournament. He capped it off with a win over #4 (at 113) and Virginia commit Kyle Montaperto.

Senior 126: #15 Carter Bailey (CA) vs #14 Nico Provo (CT)

A big blast double right into three back points was the difference in this one. Luke Duthrie, a Cornell commit from Pennsylvania, was close to pulling off the upset, but Maslanek, a Campbell commit, used some late heroics to put New Hampshire on the NHSCA champion map.

Senior 182: Lucas Cochran (UT) vs Justin Mayes (OH)
