Three-time world champion, Spencer Lee, announced on Twitter today that he will withdraw from the 2021 Olympic Trials.

After winning his third NCAA title last weekend in St. Louis, Lee announced that he had been wrestling with two torn ACLs. The first he tore in the 2019 NCAA finals against Jack Mueller, and the second less than weeks prior in the Big Ten Championships finals against Devin Schroder.

Lee won a Cadet world championship in 2014 and then won back-to-back Junior world titles in 2015 and 2016. Most recently, he won the 2019 Senior Nationals beating Darian Cruz, Vito Arujau, and Nathan Tomasello.
