Alvarez was 3-0 on the year, the #3 seed at the Big Ten Championships, and currently ranked #6 in the nation. The Scarlet Knights had not competed since January 31 due to COVID-19 cancelations.
Metzler is 1-1 on the year with a loss to Jordan Decatur and a win over Nathan Cummings of Purdue. Expect the 133-pound seeds to change when the brackets are released later this afternoon.
