All seven conference championships are in the books and 266 tickets to the 2021 NCAA Championships have been punched. However, there are still 64 wildcard or at-large selections to be made.

The Division I Wrestling Committee will met on Monday to select the remaining at-large qualifiers to fill out the 33-man bracket in each weight class,. The 6-7 at-large selections per weight will be announced March 9, while brackets and seeding will be announced on ncaa.com at 6 p.m. ET on March 10.

The NCAA Division I Wrestling Committee uses the following criteria to select at-large wrestlers: head-to-head competition, quality wins, results against common opponents, winning percentage, coaches ranking, and conference tournament finish.

Below, you'll see a breakdown of all of the wrestlers in the mix to be considered for a wildcard selection. I did my best to follow the same criteria the NCAA Division I Wrestling Committee will follow to predict who I believe will be joining the field in St. Louis.

Keep in mind the coaches ranking you will see is from the second set that were released before all of the conference championships, and the FloWrestling ranking you see is from after the first weekend (ACC, MAC, Pac-12, SoCon, EIWA) of conference championships. The next coaches rankings will not be released until after the brackets come out on March 10.

Bratke's Wildcard Predictions

Liam Cronin (Nebraska)

Eric Barnett (Wisconsin)

Justin Cardani (Illinois)

Zurich Storm (Campbell)

Brandon Kaylor (Oregon State)

Micah Roes (Binghamton)

Kysen Terukina (Iowa State)

Why These 7 - Cronin and Barnett were the easiest choices. They each have three wins over auto qualifiers and ranked wrestlers in the coaches poll, and both have beaten Cardani who, I also expect to receiver a wildcard.

Despite Cardani's bad record, seven of his nine losses were to wrestlers who auto qualified, and the other two came to Cronin and Barnett who will receive wildcards. Cardani will earn a wildcard, in my opinion, thanks to a top 25 coaches ranking and the fact that he beat Barnett earlier this season.

Even though they split this season, I believe Zurich Storm will get the wildcard over Fabian Gutierrez since he has the most recent win over him, and that win put Storm into the Southern Conference finals where he finished one spot out of auto qualifying.

Kaylor earns the nod thanks to his early season win over Danny Vega, finishing one spot out of qualifying at the Pac-12 Championships and only losing to auto qualifiers except for Connor Brown, who would have qualified had he not gotten hurt right before the MAC Championships.

Finally, I believe Micah Roes and Kysen Terukina will get in thanks to their head-to-head wins over Dylan Ryder and Cody Phippen, who are also looking for wildcards. Outside of a loss to Connor Brown for Terukina, the two only lost to auto qualifiers.

Bratke's Wildcard Predictions

Michael McGee (Arizona State)

Ryan Sullivan (West Virginia)

Chance Rich (CSU Bakersfield)

Paul Bianchi (Little Rock)

Jared Van Vleet (Air Force)

Jason Miranda (Stanford)

Why These 6 - This might have been the toughest weight to decide. Michael McGee had one slip-up all season. During the regular season, he beat Bianchi, Anthony Madrigal, Job Greenwood, and Zach Redding.

The man who beat McGee at the Pac-12 Championships, Chance Rich, should be safely in. The Roadrunner was the only blemish on the season for McGee and beat Paul Bianchi who was is in the top 26 of the coaches ranking. He also finished just one spot outside of qualifying for the NCAA Championships. Rich has only lost to Pac-12 champion Devan Turner and Jason Miranda who was top 25 in the coaches ranking.

Thanks to wins over Van Vleet, Greenwood, and Drury, West Virginia's Ryan Sullivan should be safely in. In matches at 133, his only non-injury default loss was to Daton Fix.

I like Paul Bianchi's chances to become Little Rock's first NCAA qualifier thanks to his win over Jason Miranda at the Pac-12 Championships. He also beat Big 12 finalist Madrigal and Drury.

Van Vleet gets a second spot for the Big 12 thanks to his top 15 wins over Mosha Schwartz and Zach Price.

The original article showed Jordan Decatur earning a wildcard, but he actually missed weight at the Big Ten Championships and therefor cannot be considered for one. I was under the impression he missed the tournament due to COVID-19 issues which would have made him eligible for a wildcard as long as Ohio State did not enter another starter which they did not.

With the removal of Decatur, that opens the door for Jason Miranda to earn the final allocation. This season he has wins over Chance Rich and Big 12 finalist Anthony Madrigal. Two of his four losses on the season were to Pac-12 champion and auto qualifier, Devan Turner, and another came to Bianchi, who I believe will get a wildcard as well.

Bratke's Wildcard Predictions

Brian Courtney (Virginia)

Gabe Willochell (Edinboro)

Sam Hillegas (Virginia Tech)

Real Woods (Stanford)

Franco Valdes (Chattanooga)

Chase Zollman (Wyoming)

Why These 6 - Brian Courtney is probably the safest bet of the bunch to earn a wildcard thanks to his wins over Southern Conference champion Anthony Brito, Sam Hillegas, and Cole Matthews.

The most controversial one will be Real Woods. The Stanford standout returned to the Cardinal lineup for the first time this season at the Pac-12 Championships and finished in a position that would earn him an allocation. However, Woods did not meet the four-match requirement necessary to earn his spot in St. Louis. To help Woods hit this four-match minimum, Stanford arranged two matches for Woods over the weekend against Jose Landin of CSU Bakersfield. Woods won by tech fall and fall and is now eligible to be considered for a wildcard. I don't love anything about this, but the crop of wrestlers that need a wildcard at this weight is not that deep, and I expect Woods to be inside the top 20 of the final coaches rankings.

Gabe Willochell picked up double-digit wins during the regular season and beat Derek Spann twice who was in the top 25 of the coaches rankings. Two of his three losses were to auto qualifiers, and outside of the Willochell defeats, all of Spann's losses came to auto-qualified wrestlers.

While Sam Hillegas didn't pick up a win over any auto qualifiers, he only lost to wrestlers ranked inside the top 18 of the coaches poll. Hillegas also beat Shannon Hanna of Campbell who is also looking for a wildcard selection.

Speaking of Hannah, while he does have the most recent win over Franco Valdes, I decided to go with Valdes due to Valdes win percentage, and because he was undefeated against eventual Southern Conference champion, Anthony Brito, while Hanna was winless against Brito.

While Petersen and Sandoval had wins over Zollman in January, I believe Zollman should earn the wildcard out of the Big 12 trio in the mix for it. Petersen went 0-2 at the Big 12 Championships with a loss to Jeff Boyd who Zollman beat twice. Sandoval was seventh and had a loss to Dylan Droegemueller who Zollman beat in the fifth-place bout. Zollman also finished one spot out of qualifying only losing to auto qualifiers Ian Parker and Clay Carlson.

Bratke's Wildcard Predictions

Max Murin (Iowa)

Yahya Thomas (Northwestern)

Casey Cobb (Navy)

Andrew Alirez (Northern Colorado)

Peyton Omania (Michigan State)

Cory Crooks (Arizona State)

Why These 6 - Max Murin going 0-2 was one of the biggest storylines of the second conference championship weekend. However, due to his high coaches poll ranking and wins over Michael Blockhus and Mikey Carr, he will be safely in the field. His three losses this season were to the first, second, and third-place finishers at the Big Ten Championships.

Yahya Thomas should be comfortably in as well. The Wildcat was ranked in the top 12 of the coaches poll and owns a win over auto qualifier Graham Rooks, and Beau Bartlett who is in the mix for a wildcard.

Casey Cobb did not wrestle at the EIWA Championships but is 8-1 on the year with two wins over auto qualifiers and his only loss coming to EIWA champion PJ Ogunsanya.

Andrew Alirez surprised everyone when he immediately injury defaulted out of the Big 12 Championship, but it shouldn't be a problem for him to get a wildcard. He's undefeated in matches he's actually wrestled and has wins over Hunsaker and Jensen who are hoping for wildcards.

Despite the losing record, Peyton Omania has a good shot of going to St. Louis. All of his losses came to auto qualifiers and he has wins over Kanen Storr and Mike Van Brill who finished fifth and third at the Big Ten Championships.

The final spot came down to Cory Crooks, Ed Scott, and Beau Bartlett. When analyzing the Penn State true freshman, you must remember that the committee should just be looking at his matches at 149. Up at 149, Bartlett is 4-3 with no wins over auto qualifiers. That will keep him out in my opinion.

When comparing Crooks and Scott, they both have one win over auto qualifiers, but Crooks has a better record, and only lost to auto qualifiers while Scott has a loss to Luke Kemerer who is also in the mix for a wildcard. That's why I went with Crooks.

Bratke's Wildcard Predictions

Requir van der Merwe (Stanford)

Markus Hartman (Army)

Justin Ruffin (SIUE)

Cade DeVos (SDSU)

Jacob Wright (Wyoming)

Benjamin Barton (Campbell)

Why These 6 - Requir van der Merwe has the strongest case for a wildcard after picking up wins over Cade DeVos and Justin Thomas while only losing to auto qualifiers.

Speaking of Cade DeVos, he should be in as well after only losing to auto qualifiers and van der Merwe, who I believe will get in as well. DeVos also finished one spot outside of qualifying at the Big 12 Championships in a weight that featured six ranked wrestlers and just three automatic bids. DeVos also beat Jacob Wright twice this season.

Jacob Wright suffered just four losses this season, but all were to auto qualifiers or DeVos, and he racked up 16 wins. He also had a win over auto qualifier Johnny Lovett and Wyatt Sheets who is in the top 25 of the coaches poll.

If Justin Ruffin is good to go health-wise, I believe he will earn a wildcard to St. Louis. Ruffin was forced to withdraw from the MAC Championships due to a shoulder injury, but Ruffin has a top 20 coaches poll ranking and a win over auto qualifier Michael Petite.

I believe Ben Barton will earn another wildcard for Campbell as he has a win over auto qualifier Connor Brady, and a previous win over Southern Conference champion Cody Bond. Barton and Bond's SoCon finals match went to tiebreakers.

Mekhi Lewis (Virginia Tech)

Dan Braunagel (Illinois)

Kennedy Monday (North Carolina)

Andrew Sparks (Minnesota)

William Formato (App State)

Nick South (Indiana)

Rodrick Mosley (Gardner-Webb)

Why These 7 - While this was the most loaded weight in terms of high-ranked wrestlers needing wildcards, it was pretty straightforward as well. 2019 NCAA champion Mekhi Lewis is in after getting wins over Thomas Bullard, Kennedy Monday, and Jake Keating.

Despite going 0-2 at the Big Ten Championships, Braunagel is safely in after he earned wins over Ethan Smith, Peyton Robb, Nick South, and David Ferrante. Another easy decision was Kennedy Monday. The Tar Heel has multiple wins over Bullard.

During the regular season, Andrew Sparks picked up wins over Robb, Tucker, Gerrit Nijenhuis, and David Ferrante that should secure his wildcard bid.

William Formato also had a win over Bullard to go along with wins over Rodrick Mosley and Dazjon Casto. Speaking of Mosley, he edges Casto for the second wildcard spot for the SoCon due to his head-to-head win over Casto in the dual.

Nick South grabs the final wildcard since he has wins over auto qualifiers Tucker and Ferrante, and has only lost to auto-qualified wrestlers who are all ranked in the top 28 of the coaches poll.

Thomas Flitz (Appalachian State)

Mason Kauffman (Northern Illinois)

Jackson Turley (Rutgers)

Anthony Mantanona (Oklahoma)

Victor Marcelli (Virginia)

Cody Surratt (Air Force)

Jared Krattiger (Wisconsin)

Why These 7 - Thomas Flitz is in thanks in large part to wins over Victor Marcelli and Daniel Bullard. Two of Flitz's three losses on the year are to the undefeated Austin Murphy.

Mason Kauffman should be safely in after beating Lance Runyon, who is in the hunt for a wildcard and auto qualifier Jacob Oliver.

Jackson Turley is a blast to watch, and thanks to wins over auto qualifiers Jake Allar and Drew Hughes, we should get to watch him in St. Louis.

Anthony Mantanona has had his ups and downs this year but wins over Dustin Plott, Cody Surratt, Julian Broderson, and a finish at the Big 12 Championship one spot out from qualifying are enough to get the Sooner in.

I think Victor Marcelli earns a wildcard thanks to his win over auto qualifier Dakota Howard. The Cavalier has also only lost to auto qualifiers.

Cody Surratt has a win over auto qualifier and Big 12 finalist Jackson Hemauer and outside of a fifth-place loss at the Big 12 Championship to Anthony Mantanona, has only lost to auto qualifiers.

The last spot was a tough one to decide. I decided to go with Jared Krattiger, who has two wins over auto qualifier Jake Allar. While Lance Runyon has a win earlier this season of Mantanona, he lost three of his last four matches before having to withdraw from the Big 12 Championship due to injury. In that final stretch, he fell to Kauffman and to Plott, who Mantanona beat.

Bratke's Wildcard Predictions

Zac Braunagel (Illinois)

Rocky Jordan (Ohio State)

Sammy Colbray (Iowa State)

Gregg Harvey (Pittsburgh)

Michael Battista (Virginia)

Jha'Quan Anderson (Gardner-Webb)

Why These 6 - Like 149 and 165, this weight had several highly ranked wrestlers who needed a wildcard. In total, I believe five wrestlers who were ranked in the top 24 of the last coaches poll will receive wildcards.

Zac Braunagel joins his brother Danny in need of a wildcard, but that shouldn't be a problem as he has wins over Rocky Jordan and Nelson Brands.

Rocky Jordan has far from a perfect record, but he also owns his wins over Chris Weiler and Max Lyon. Also, all of his losses have come to wrestlers who have auto qualified or to Braunagel, who will get a wildcard.

While he has no wins over auto-qualified wrestlers, Sammy Colbray finishing one spot out from qualifying and beat Darrien Roberts, who is also on the bubble, should be enough to get him a wildcard. Colbray has only lost to Keckeisen, Geer, and Clothier this season.

Gregg Harvey and Michael Battista swapped wins this season, and that, along with their coaches ranking, should be enough to get the ACC rivals into the big dance.

Finally, Jha'Quan Anderson come on down. Anderson has only lost to two auto qualifiers this season, has a great win percentage, and was ranked in the last coaches poll.

Tanner Sloan (SDSU)

Thomas Penola (Purdue)

Nick Reenan (NC State)

Billy Janzer (Rutgers)

Gavin Hoffman (Ohio State)

Matt Wroblewski (Illinois)

Landon Pelham (Central Michigan)

Why These 6 - Tanner Sloan was undefeated on the year going into the Big 12 Championship but dropped consecutive matches before injury defaulting out. With his 14-2 record and win over Jake Woodley, Sloan will receive a wilcard.

Thomas Penola has beaten Hoffman, Wroblewski, and Janzer, while only dropping four matches to auto qualified hammers.

Nick Reenan returned to the NC State lineup just in time for the postseason and with only losses to auto qualified wrestlers, and a 70% win percentage, is looking good for earning a wildcard.

There was not a particularly deep field that needed a wildcard a 197 so three more spots go to the Big Ten. Billy Janzer who beat Hoffman, who got revenge on Wroblewski at the Big Ten Championships.

In my opinion, the final spot goes to Landon Pelham who beat Colin McCracken, who had a win over Ben Smith, who made the MAC finals. Four of Pelham's five losses on the year came to wrestlers who auto qualified for the NCAA Championships.

Bratke's Wildcard Predictions

Carter Isley (UNI)

Luke Luffman (Illinois)

Jon Spaulding (Edinboro)

John Birchmeier (Navy)

Austin Harris (Oklahoma State)

Sam Schuyler (Buffalo)

Why These 6 - Carter Isley and Luke Luffman have been top 10 wrestlers from the first weekend of the season and will receive wildcards after they each finished one spot out of qualifying in their respective conference.

I believe a couple of MAC heavyweights will receive wildcards as well. Jon Spaulding and Sam Schuyler split matches this season, but Spaulding came out on top at the MAC Championships. I believe Schuyler also receives a wildcard because he beat Colton McKiernan, who beat Max Ihry at the MAC Championships, and both McKiernan and Ihry were in the hunt for wildcards as well.

John Birchmeier should be good as he was ranked inside the coaches poll top 25 and only fell to auto qualifiers at the EIWA Championships.

Last and certainly not least, I believe that Austin Harris will receive a wildcard. He has a major decision win over Wyatt Hendrickson, who finished third at the Big 12 Championship. All of Harris' losses also came to wrestlers who are auto qualified for the NCAA Championships.
