What's up friends? I will be your live blogger tonight keeping you up to date on everything going down in the top 15 showdown between in-state rivals #5 NC State and #13 North Carolina. NC State leads the all-time series 13-9-1, but has won the last seven duals against the Tar Heels. Last year's dual came down to heavyweight where Deonte Wilson played hero for the Wolfpack and caused Trent Hidlay to destroy a chair.

What's up friends? I will be your live blogger tonight keeping you up to date on everything going down in the top 15 showdown between in-state rivals #5 NC State and #13 North Carolina. NC State leads the all-time series 13-9-1, but has won the last seven duals against the Tar Heels. Last year's dual came down to heavyweight where Deonte Wilson played hero for the Wolfpack and caused Trent Hidlay to destroy a chair.

125: #2 Jakob Camacho (NC State) vs Julian Tagg (North Carolina)

1st Period: Nothing doing 1 minute in. A few half shots but neither wrestler has gotten a lock on a leg yet. Nice head outside single from Camacho, Tagg passes a leg, and now Tagg is in on a head inside single, but he Camacho is able to earn a stalemate and we go back to the middle with 50 seconds left. Sweep single from Camacho who looks to finish out the backdoor and he does with 20 seconds to go and rides out the remainder of the period to take a 2-0 lead into the second. 

2nd Period: Camacho will start on bottom and uses a quad pod to get to his feet, it looked like Tagg relaxed as he went to cut Camacho, but Camacho turns into Tagg and blows through a double for a reversal and extends his lead to 4-0. Camacho puts a tough ride on Tagg and earns a stall call which is the second one on Tagg and is now 5-0 as we head to the final period. Camacho now has well over a minute of riding time.

3rd Period: Tagg starts on bottom and Camacho goes optional start and releases Tagg. Camacho drops into a double, picks up Tagg and runs him across the mat before finishing and transitioning into a bottom leg turk and he's working for the fall. Tagg is able to get off his back but not before it's 11-1. Camacho will cut him again and scores again on a go behind, 13-2. Camacho again cuts Tagg, and then runs behind him for another takedown and goes into another turk and adds four nearfall to get the tech fall as the period expires. That is the best I've ever seen Camacho look! 21-4 is the final.

133: Ryan Jack (NC State) vs #12 Jaime Hernandez (North Carolina)

1st Period: Jack in on a single on the edge of the mat. Not a lot of room to work and they eventually go out of bounds with 1:39 to go in the period. Jack doing a very good job of controlling the center of the mat, but Hernandez is able to circle in and avoid a potential stall on the edge. Hernandez fires off a couple shots in a row and they hit Jack for stalling. Not sure I understand that one. Both wrestlers have been very active. We'll end the first period scoreless. 

2nd Period: Jack begins on bottom, gets up to his feet multiple times, but Hernandez does a good job bringing Jack back down. On the edge of the mat Hernandez goes for a tilt, but Jack jumps his hips on top and nearly scores a reversal, but Hernandez recovers and only gives up an escape with 1:30 to go. After they go out of bounds, Jack gets in on a head inside single, but Hernandez is break Jack's lock and run around behind and score a takedown. 2-1 Hernandez. About 10 seconds after the takedown, Jack earns an escape and the match is tied at 2.

3rd Period: Hernandez will start on bottom, but less than 10 seconds in, a nice short sit, heist and cut, and Hernandez is in the lead again 3-2. Stalemate with 57 seconds to go. Jack fires off a shot, but Hernandez is able to get his leg back. 20 seconds to go, but Jack really only fires off a half shot and Hernandez is able to find a front headlock and run the clock out to win 3-2.

141: #11 Tariq Wilson (NC State) vs #10 Zach Sherman (North Carolina)

1st Period: Wilson strikes first with a head inside single that he transitions to a double before they go outside of bounds 30 seconds into this one. After the restart, Sherman is up and out quickly to make it, 2-1.Beautiful low single from Sherman at the 1:44 mark, he gets Wilson up on one foot hopping, puts Wilson's leg on his shoulder, and the trips for the finish at the 1:12 mark. 3-2 in favor of Sherman. Not much riding time for Sherman as Wilson is up and out quickly to knot the match at 3. That's how the opening period ends.

2nd Period: Wilson will start on bottom. Wilson got to his feet multiple times but they go out of bounds with 1:30 to go. Sherman's riding time at 44 seconds right now. After the re-start, Sherman gets a little too high and Wilson is able to shake him off and earn the escape before Sherman's riding time hits a minute. It's out 53 seconds now. Wilson leads 4-3 right now. Sherman and Wilson trade shots on the edge, but nothing doing and that's how we'll go to the third period. 

3rd Period: Sherman on bottom to start the final period. Sherman with a standing graby, had a look at a reveral, but unable to get it before they went out of bounds. 4-4 now with just under a minute and a half to go. On the restart, Sherman fires off a double, switches to a single, gets it up in the air, then works his way to rear standing and plants Wilson for the takedown with 1:08 to go. Sherman leads 6-4. Less than 10 seconds later, Wilson is out. 6-5 Sherman now. Straight on double for Wilson and he plants Sherman on his back with 23 seconds left and will pickup two near fall as well! A restart with 5 seconds left, Wilson drops down to a leg and he comes from behind to win it, 9-6!

149: Ed Scott (NC State) vs #2 Austin O'Connor (North Carolina)

1st Period: O'Connor with a quick takedown and he goes to work on with a head lever and has over a minute of riding time quickly. Ed Scott with a sit out and O'Connor with a nasty suck back to pick up four near fall! As O'Connor's riding time approaches 2 minutes, Scott is dinged for stalling. They go out of bounds with 11 seconds left as Scott was close to an escape. The first period ends with O'Connor with nearly 2:30 of riding time and a 6-0 lead.

2nd Period: O'Connor elects neutral, and adds to his lead quickly with a nice arm drag to extend his lead to 8-0. Scott with an escape to make it 8-1. Scott with a head inside single, but O'Connor counters with a nice throw by and he scores again to make it 10-1. We have a stoppage at 41 second as Scott has some blood. After the clean up, O'Connor just puts Scott neutral to make it 10-2. O'Connor unable to score again and that's how the second period ends. 

3rd Period: Scott will begin on bottom. O'Connor's riding time well over 3 minutes now. Scott just has no answer for O'Connor's top work. After a re-start, O'Connor runs out front and tries a headlock, but Scott is able to slip out and score an escape. It's now 10-3 with 59 seconds to go as we get more bloodtime from Scott. Scott tries to throw a two on one to a high single, but unable to score, and neither is O'Connor the rest of the match. It will finish 11-3 in O'Connor's favor after riding time is added on.

157: #2 Hayden Hidlay (NC State) vs Josh McClure (North Carolina)

1st Period: Hidlay in on a high crotch for a second, but McClure able to get his leg back. Now Hidlay digs in his patented underhook, looks to throw it up and run across to a double, but a great counter from McClure who hips into him and throws Hidlay to his back for a second, but Hidlay able to roll out, but it's McClure who runs around behind and scores the first takedown. Hidlay able to escape quickly though and make it 2-1.At the 42 second mark, Hidlay with a nice single to double transition and he scores easily to make it 3-2. Hidlay now goes to work on top with a bar and looking for a tilt with it and gets it just before the buzzer. Hidlay will lead 7-2 heading into the second period. 

2nd Period: Hidlay will start on bottom. Hidlay is out in the first 20 seconds and extends his lead to 8-2. Hidlay is immediately on the attack again with an underhook he uses to dropdown to a single, shelves the leg, scores the takedown to make it 10-2. Hidlay now going back to work on the same bar title he scored on in the fist period. There's the second stall call on McClure and it's now 11-2 as Hidlay's riding time goes over 1 minute and that's how the second period ends. 

3rd Period: McClure starts on bottom, Hidlay goes optional start and kicks McClure to make it 11-3. Hidlay in on single again and shelves the leg and scores again. 13-3 now. Hidlay close to another tilt, but McClure able to escape and gets out of bounds to earn a re-start. Right off the re-start, Hidlay gets the roll through tilt and adds two more. Now 15-3. With 30 seconds to go, Hidlay cuts McClure and immediately runs behind him for the takedown. Hidlay cuts McClure again and then gets in on a shot again and finishes no problem to extend his lead to 19-5 with 17 seconds to go. Switch attemp off the whistle from McClure, Hidlay drops to a leg and gets hit for stalling with six seconds to go. Hidlay rides out the reaminder of the match and with the riding time point earns the tech fall, 20-5.

165: #11 Thomas Bullard (NC State) vs #14 Kennedy Monday (North Carolina)

1st Period: Monday with a shot in the first five seconds, but down blocked away by Bullard. Head inside single from Bullard on the edge, but they go out of bounds with 2:13 remaining. The pace has slowed down greatly from the first minute. Ear to ear collar tie for almost the entirety of the second minute. Monday keeps trying to work from space, but Bullard continues to bully his way into ties. Shot from Monday in the final 20 seconds, but Bullard fends it off and we'll end the first period scoreless. 

2nd Period: Bullard will start on bottom after Monday defers choice. Bullard up to his feet right away, and threatens a standing peterson, and Monday just cuts him. 1-0 lead for Bullard. Bullard gets in deep on a head inside single, but Monday pulls him up off his leg and tries to go double overs throw on the edge, but can't control Bullard as he goes off the mat. Back to the middle. Really nice fakes lead to a double for Monday, but Bullard somehow passes a leg and we are all tangled up. After a 30 second scramble of Bullard passing legs and nearly coming out on top, and then Monday almost finishing a shot of his own, time expires and no one has scored. Holy cow! 

3rd Period: Monday chooses bottom and Bullard immediately throws boots in and is going to work on top. He nearly scored back points by pulling Monday back, but Monday was able to belly down. Bullard continues to ride hard, but a stalemate is called with 1:03 to go. After the re-start, Monday caught a leg and was close to turning in to Bullard and scoring a reversal, but Bullard was able to come back out on top. North Carolina throws the challenge brick with 18 seconds to go in the match. Bullard's riding time is now well over 1:40. So it's essentially a 2-0 lead for Bullard. After review, an illegal hold is called on Bullard and we go all the way back to 59 seconds remaining in the match, riding time back to 1:01. Not sure what the illegal hold was. After a re-start, Monday with a standing granby and he's out. 2-1 now on the scoreboard, but Bullard has riding time so it's actually 2-2. Monday in on a double and he will finish this time and win 4-1. Bullard tried to pass a leg, but wasn't able to this time. NC State will now challenge the call on the mat. Call on the mat stands and Monday wins 4-1. What a weird, wild match.

174: #15 Daniel Bullard (NC State) vs #8 Devin Kane (North Carolina)

1st Period: Bullard with a head inside single and looks to come out the backdoor, hooks the leg of Kane and scores the takedown at the 2:14 mark. Bullard can't work up off the leg and is hit for stalling. Bullard now going to work with double boots in and his riding time goes over a minute with 1:10 to go in the period. Bullard continues to ride hard with boots in and his riding time now goes over 2 minutes, but just as it does, Kane scores a reversal and had a bottom leg turk for a second, but Bullard avoids giving up back points and the first period ends tied at 2.

2nd Period: Kane selects neutral and soon into the period, Bullard with another head inside single and he works again to score out the backdoor and does to take a 4-2 lead. Bullard's riding time back up over 2 minutes. Once again it's double boots from Bullard that allows him to ride out the second period. He leads 4-2 going into the final period. 

3rd Period: Bullard starts on bottom, catches a peterson, and scores a reversal and looks to go to work on top again. 6-2 in favor of Bullard and his riding time is well over 3 minutes now. With 35 seconds to go, Kane is able to score another reversal and makes it 6-4. He won't be able to erase riding time though and 6-4 is our final.

184: #3 Trent Hidlay (NC State) vs #15 Clay Lautt (North Carolina)

1st Period: Hidlay working hard with his go to underhook early, but we get a stalemate 30 seconds in. Hidlay again working his underhook on the left side of Lautt, but Lautt able to clear ties. Hidlay continues to come forward and he gets Lautt hit for stalling at 44 second mark. About 15 seconds later, Hidlay drives forward on a shot, but they run out of room, and Lautt is again called for stalling. 1-0 now in favor of Hidlay and that's how the first period ends.

2nd Period: Hidlay will start on bottom and is out in under 10 seconds to take a 2-0 lead. Hidlay again goes to his underhook and this time is able to get in on Lautt's leg when he throws it by and methodically finishes to take a 4-0 lead with just over a minute to go. Hidlay doing a good job of putting a ride on Lautt with a spiral ride and his riding time goes over a minute with under 5 seconds go to in the second period and that's how it ends. 

3rd Period: Lautt will start on bottom. Hidlay continuing to ride tough as his riding time now goes over 1:30. Lautt finally gets to his feet and Hidlay will go ahead and kick him to make it 4-1 with 1:20 to go. Hidlay in late on a double, but he can't finish before the match ends. Hidlay wins 5-1 with his additional riding time point.

197: #13 Isaac Trumble (NC State) vs Max Shaw (North Carolina)

1st Period: Nothing doing in the first minute of this one. Trouble walking Shaw all over the mat with double underhooks, and he earns a stall call as Shaw goes out of bounds with 50 seconds to go. Straight on double for Shaw with 16 seconds to go, sits Trumble to his butt, and he is able to finish just before the buzzer to take a 2-0 lead into the second period. 

2nd Period: Trumble begins on bottom and is out in the first 20 seconds. A shot from space from Trumble and a really nice re-attack from Shaw and he scores again by putting Trumble to his butt. 4-1 now, but Trumble is out quickly to make it 4-2 with just over a minute to go. Trumble with body lock, jacks up Shaw, and he trips behind him, takes him straight to his back and picks up the fall!

285: #17 Deonte Wilson (NC State) vs #22 Andrew Gunning (North Carolina)

1st Period: At the 2:30 mark, Gunning tries a straight on double, but they run out of room and go out of bounds. With just under a minute tog, another nice shot from Gunning, but Wilson feeds him hips and is able to find off the shot. We'll end the opening period scoreless. 

2nd Period: Gunning starts on bottom and is up and out in the first five seconds. Wilson walks Gunning to the edge with an underhook and they go out of bounds, but the official hits Wilson for stalling. At the re-start, Gunning again goes to his underhook and runs Gunning off the mat as he attemps a shot, but this time the official hits Gunning for stalling. 1-0 Gunning leads going into the final period.

3rd Period: Wilson starts down and is out in no time to tie the match. At the 1:20 mark, Gunning tries a low single from space and Wilson just runs around behind for a takedown to take a 3-1 lead. Wilson riding tough on top earns a stall call on Gunning and that brings his lead to 4-1 and his riding times goes over a minute. About 30 seconds late, Gunning is hit for stalling again to make it 5-1. Tack on a point for riding time and Wilson wins 6-1.
