The 2019 Pennsylvania state champion announced his decision late Tuesday night. Schon chose Iowa State over Rutgers, Ohio State, Penn, NC State, and Pitt. He projects at 197/285 pounds.
Schon will join Paniro Johnson, another PA standout, as a member of the Cyclones in 2021. The rest of Iowa State's 2021 recruiting class includes #58 senior Conor Knopick, a Cadet Greco world-teamer from Nebraska; Sam Hrabovsky, a state champ from Missouri; and Gabe Greenlee, a 2020 state finalist from Ames.
He is the third Pennsylvania recruit to commit to head coach Kevin Dresser in the past 18 months; two-time PA state finalist and 2020 graduate Cameron Robinson committed in 2019.
