Pat Brucki Enters Portal As Grad Transfer
Two-time All-American for Princeton, Pat Brucki, has entered the transfer portal as a graduate transfer.

Another All-American has entered the transfer portal. This time it's Princeton's Pat Brucki. During his time at Princeton, Brucki qualified for the NCAA Championships three times, was fourth at the 2019 NCAA Championships, and was named an All-American after the cancelation of the 2020 NCAA Championships. Brucki is listed in the portal as a graduate transfer that wishes to be contacted by other institutions.
In an interview with The Open Mat on June 25, Princeton Associate Head Coach, Joe Dubuque, said that Brucki would likely be taking the year off next season as he is in the need of surgeries. Brucki was injured late in the year in a match with Rutgers Jordan Pagano and still looked banged up a few weeks later at the EIWA Championships where he suffered an upset loss to Drew Phipps. Despite not being at full strength, Brucki finished third at EIWAs and was the eight seed at the NCAA Championships.
Brucki is currently ranked seventh in our 2020-21 way too early D1 rankings and would be considered a title contender. As we saw earlier this summer with Kennedy Monday, any athlete that chooses to enter the portal can always retract their name and return to school. However, Brucki is now free to be legally contacted by other college coaches.

Recently, the Ivy League announced that no sports would be played in the fall and that, "A decision on the remaining winter and spring sports competition calendar, and on whether fall sport competition would be feasible in the spring, will be determined at a later date."
Brucki is an Illinois native where he was a three-time state place winner and won a state title as a senior for Carl Sandburg High School.
