The Post and Courier reported earlier today that The Citadel: The Military College Of South Carolina, will not be renewing the contract of head wrestling coach Rob Hjerling.

Hjerling had been the coach at The Citadel since the 1999-00 season. During his time with the Bulldogs, he coached four All-Americans and was the SoCon Coach of the Year in 2004 and 2014. The Citadel's lone NCAA qualifier this year was sophomore 149-pounder Selwyn Porter.

This is the most recent D1 coaching shakeup of many in an off-season that has seen a relatively active coaching carousel. The opening at The Citadel is the only active NCAA Division 1 head coaching position.
