Since losing at Lehigh back on November 16, Oklahoma State has won six straight duals including wins over #9 Pitt, #13 Princeton, and #19 Minnesota. This weekend will arguably be their toughest test yet as the Cowboys will hit the road for the first time since the Southern Scuffle to take on Northern Iowa and Iowa State just 19 hours apart.

#7 Oklahoma State (7-1) vs Northern Iowa (4-3)

This dual got the call-up to the big leagues. Instead of going down in historic West Gym, which is always a fantastic place to watch wrestling, it will go down inside the Mcleod Center where the Panthers play basketball. This means there will be 5,000 more seats for UNI, or wrestling fans in general, to witness what's going to be a great dual in person.

When wrestling gets underway Saturday night, 14 ranked wrestlers will be on the mat and four top-25 showdowns will go down including a meeting of All-Americans.

Boo Lewallen-Max Thomsen is probably the marquee match, although you could make an argument for several other matches, and the two are very familiar with each other. During the 2018 season, the All-Americans clashed three times with Lewallen coming out on top of the final two. However, it has been nearly two years since their last meeting at the NCAA Championships in Cleveland. Can Thomsen hand Lewallen his first loss of the season?

Dusty Hone has stormed onto the scene this season and already owns wins over #15 Tariq Wilson, #19 Cole Matthews, and #22 Kyle Shoop. Can he add #14 Michael Blockhus to that list?

Watch Dusty Hone beat All-American Tariq Wilson.

The most exciting match of the night should undoubtedly be at 184. Taylor Lujan is must-see TV every time he steps on the mat, and freshman Anthony Montalvo has a big arsenal and isn't afraid to open up. Combined, just over 30 percent of their matches are ending in falls.

The two historic programs have met 29 times previously with Oklahoma State currently holding a 27-2 advantage. Cowboy head coach John Smith has never lost to Northern Iowa.

Projected Lineups

125: #4 Nick Piccininni (Oklahoma State) vs #16 Jay Schwarm (UNI)

Less than 17 hours after finishing up in Cedar Falls, Oklahoma State will take the mat again about 100 miles down the road in Ames in another crucial Big 12 showdown.

The dual will feature five top 25 matchups, 15 individually ranked wrestlers, and three All-Americans.

Alex Mackall has undoubtedly shown he's a top-10 guy, but can he break into that next tier? In their lone meeting last year in Stillwater, it was all Nick Piccininni.

Watch Piccininni beat Mackall in the dual last season.

Dusty Hone has been on fire and since Southern Scuffle knocking off #15 Tariq Wilson, #22 Kyle Shoop, and is coming off a win over #19 Cole Matthews. Against Ian Parker, Hone will get another chance to notch another ranked win.

157 will feature two legacy wrestlers from their respective schools. Mike Sheets, the father of Wyatt, was a two-time NCAA champion for Oklahoma State and Nate Carr, the father of David, was a three-time NCAA champion for Iowa State.

Anthony Montalvo will also get his second-ranked matchup of the weekend when he takes on NCAA qualifier Just two weeks ago, Coleman moved up to 184 from 174 where he was an NCAA qualifier. Since moving up, Coleman is just 2-3, but all three losses came to wrestlers ranked above him.

The Cowboys and Cyclones have met 83 times all-time with Oklahoma State holding an all-time edge of 60-23.
