With all the events and matches going down this weekend, it can be easy to overlook some. Here are five matches taking place this weekend that are flying under the radar, but still sneaky good and worth watching.

#6 Devin Schroder, Purdue vs #14 Nic Aguilar, Rutgers

After a solid sophomore campaign last year, Devin Schroder is really making a name for himself this year with good wins over guys like Alex Mackall and Michael DeAugustino. Nic Aguilar is one of the several young starters in the Rutgers lineup. He really impressed me with this 13-4 dismantling of Jackson DiSario at Southern Scuffle. The two wrestled once last season while Aguilar was in redshirt with Schroder winning 3-1.

#7 Devin Skatzka, Minnesota vs #8 Kaleb Romero, Ohio State

The match between these two at CKLV was a lot better than the 1-0 score indicates. Sometimes low scores just happen in high-level wrestling, which is exactly what these two bring to the table.

#12 Kanen Storr, Michigan vs #17 Yahya Thomas, Northwestern

After taking two straight losses, Yahya Thomas is going to be looking to get back on the winning side of things. And Storr hasn’t looked bad this year, but he’s going to need to jump up one more level if he wants to make it onto the podium in March. Storr has great offense and Yahya is stingy defensively.

#14 Jake Woodley, Oklahoma vs #19 Tanner Sloan, SDSU

With two underclassmen here, this could be a bit of a Big 12 rivalry in the making. The two already wrestled once this season at CKLV, with Woodley coming away with a 5-3 victory, but Sloan has looked impressive since. He’s 8-1 with a 5-4 loss to Ben Darmstadt.

#13 Jelani Embree, Michigan vs #14 Zac Braunagel, Illinois

Zac Braunagel is a redshirt freshman year for Illinois with a dynamic offense, and when Jelani Embree is at his best, he can do things like beat national qualifier Max Lyon 9-2 *in freestyle.*
