1. Kaden Gfeller over Mitch Finesilver

One of the biggest OSU storylines to follow at this tournament whether we will see Kaden Gfeller. Last year in the finals of the Scuffle at 149, Gfeller took out Mitch Finesilver for his second Scuffle title in a tight match that came down to the last exchange. Gfeller narrowly avoided a takedown to win 3-2.

2. Dean Heil over Joey Ward

During Heil’s back-to-back title run he had one loss. That one loss was to North Carolina’s Joey Ward in a dual in Stillwater. Heil avenged that loss over Ward with a 3-1 decision in the finals of the 2017 Southern Scuffle. He went on to have an undefeated season and win his second straight NCAA title.

3. Chandler Rogers pins Daniel Lewis

Rogers' high-flying style made for some of the most exciting matches in wrestling during his time at Oklahoma State. His first period pin of Mizzou’s Daniel Lewis ranks near the top of Rogers’ many big wins in a Cowboy singlet.

4. Derek White wins title over Anthony Cassar

In a preview of the NCAA tournament final last year, Derek White and Anthony Cassar met for the first time. White used a takedown with an early slide-by that ultimately led to a huge 3-2 win for the Cowboy. This was crucial in giving White the #1 seed at the NCAA tournament and setting up the pair to meet again there.

5. Kaden Gfeller pins Nick Lee

In my opinion this one should go down as an all-timer for any Southern Scuffle match. Back and forth, lots of scoring, it was great! Ultimately Gfeller puts Lee on his back, gets a huge fall, and goes right into the “O-S-U” celebration. This was Gfeller’s true freshmen season, making him one of very few wrestlers to earn a Southern Scuffle title in his first year. If he competes and wins next week, he’ll be a three-time Scuffle champ.
