Aaron Cashman, Iowa vs #5 Pat Glory, Princeton

1st Period: 1 minute in and no score. Each wrestler with a couple half shots, but no real committed attempts. With 1:40 to go Glory gets in on a head inside single, but Cashman is able to get a stalemate. 1:05 remaining in the first and Glory once again in this time on a straight double, but Cashman does a great job scrambling and getting another stalemate. Another shot from Glory at the :40 second mark earns a stall call on Cashman. Glory fires off another shot with under 20 seconds to go in the period and finally converts with two seconds to go. Glory leads 2-0.

2nd Period: Cashman starts on bottom. Glory is extremely tough on top, but Cashman is able to get a reversal and Glory quickly answers with an escape of his own, 3-2 Glory now. Glory with a beautiful swing single and is able to beat Cashman to the corner and finish easy, 5-2 now. Glory now able to get his top ride going and rides out the remainder of the second period. He leads 6-2 now after a late stall call on Cashman.

3rd Period: Glory starts on top and it has been non-stop action. Cashman reverses Glory and then Glory answers with a reversal of his own. 8-4 Glory now with 0:51 seconds to go after a potentially dangerous call. After the re-start, Glory gets his leg ride going on again and rides out the remainder of the match, picks up another stall call on Cashman, and gets riding time. Glory 10-4 over Cashman.

Two quick go behind takedowns for DeSanto and he's out to a 8-3 lead with 1:20 to go. I honestly cannot keep up with all of the takedowns DeSanto is scoring. Pierson has no answer for the Hawkeyes short offense game as the nation's top-ranked wrestler picked up 7 takedowns in the opening frame. DeSanto leads 14-6 after one.

2nd Period: DeSanto starts on bottom and is out in five seconds. Another spin behind takedown for DeSanto as they go out of bounds with 1:20 remaining in the period. 17-6, DeSanto. #3 Pat Lugo, Iowa vs #11 Mike D'Angelo, Princeton

1st Period: D'Angelo with a nice shrug to get rear standing behind Lugo, but unable to get a supporting point of Lugo's on the mat before they went out of bounds. Princeton will challenge though. After review the call stands, no points. Head inside single from Lugo at the 1:40 mark starts a crazy scramble that lasts for over a minute before a potentially dangerous call. A stall call on Lugo with four seconds to go in the period for not letting D'Angelo circle back onto the mat. Gotta love edge stall calls. Scoreless after one.
