Anthony Echemendia Commits To Ohio State
Fargo champ Anthony Echemendia has committed to wrestle for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
The long and winding recruitment of Anthony Echemendia appears to be over: He will be an Ohio State Buckeye.
Ohio State head coach Tom Ryan also indicated he will be enrolling in January, making him eligible for the second semester.
Humble and hard working. Accustomed to discomfort and the hard way. We are excited to welcome Anthony from Cuba ?? to Buckeye Nation! He will be enrolling this January. Go Bucks! https://t.co/qaMQZkgl4x

Echemendia is originally from Cuba. He attended Sunnyside high school in Tucson, Arizona, where he won a state championship. He has spent time at the Olympic & Paralympic Training Center, and originally it was thought he signed with Iowa State. He also visited Arizona State and Iowa.
Based on the current construction of the Buckeyes' lineup, the Fargo champ will either be an immediate option for them at 157, or would go 149 with Sammy Sasso bumping up in weight. Either way, he's potentially a huge boon to a tOSU squad that is already ranked third in the country.
