Joey Zargo Commits
Joey Zargo had one of the hottest summers. The prospect announced his commit today.
There may have been no other wrestler whose stock rose as much as Bergen Catholic's Joey Zargo this summer.
After not placing at the New Jersey State Tournament, Zargo went scorched earth with a title at FloNationals followed by 5th place showing in Akron and Fargo that included several ranked wins. The performances saw his stock go from unranked to #5 in the country at 145lbs. and the #36 overall recruit in the Class of 2020.
Today, while on a visit to Wisconsin, he committed to the Badgers and Coach Chris Bono.
I am excited to announce that I have decided to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Wisconsin. I’d like to thank everyone that has helped me along the way. #jumparound #OnWisconsin pic.twitter.com/kZsjQsUw29

Zargo had interest from Arizona State, Rutgers, Penn State, and Iowa State.
The Badgers had the #7 Recruiting Class nationally in Bono's first year on the trail for Wisconsin. And now he's got them off to a great start for 2020 as they have already received commitments from Aiden Medora and the #3 overall recruit, Braxton Amos.
All three recruits will be in action at Super 32 in two weeks.
Congrats to the Bergen Catholic and Wisconsin wrestling communities.
