Sokol Opens Up Recruitment

One of the top-ranked wrestlers in the country, Ryan Sokol, who was formerly committed to Iowa, has informed us that he's opening up his recruitment.

This year's freestyle World Team Member at 65kg, Sokol is currently ranked #2 in the country at 138 entering his Junior year. He's set to face #1-Beau Bartlett (PA) at Who's #1 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in October

Sokol committed to Iowa just under a year ago. Last week the Iowa staff visited him at his home. Over the weekend he visited Ohio State, where his former teammate and #1-ranked heavyweight Greg Kerkvliet now goes to school.

I just wanted to keep my options a little more open. Nothing has really been ruled out. The Iowa community is good to me, but I want to see what everyone’s got to offer.

Recently ranked by us as the #10 overall prospect in the Class of 2021, Sokol said he doesn't have any visits set up to any schools other schools at this time.
