While celebrating the outstanding performances all week, flying under the radar were highly ranked and standout wrestlers who didn't place. Whether it was due to injury, a tough draw in a loaded bracket, or just an atypical showing, Fargo has a way of humbling you. Here are some studs that didn't reach the podium in the ever-loaded Junior division.

Whether it was due to injury, a tough draw in a loaded bracket, or just an atypical showing, Fargo has a way of humbling you. Here are some studs that didn't reach the podium in the ever-loaded Junior division.

By my count 57 ranked wrestlers didn't place. That's just in Junior Freestyle! It doesn't account for graduated seniors, Greco, Cadets, and/or the numerous honorable mention wrestlers in the field.

Here are a couple of the highlights followed by a full list of the ranked wrestlers that didn't place and who beat them.

#8-Peyton Craft (NJ) - Dominic Murphy (IL), Foca (NJ)

Craft went from knocking out the former #1 in Devin Winston, to losing to Murphy who has never been ranked. Odd turn of events.

#6-Greyden Penner (MO) - Kennedy (MN), Alex Cramer (IL)

This is the type of tournament Fargo is. There's no shame in losing to either of these guys. Kennedy is the #1 guy in the country and Cramer was once Top 10 and is a graduate.

#5-Cael Valencia (CA) - Gallagher (OH), Bailey (IL)

Another illustration of how difficult it is to regroup. There's no harm in Cael losing to Bailey, who is a Top 10 guy, but Cael went from oh so close to putting himself in position for a title, to not placing at all.

#6-Josh Edmond (MI) - Returning Cadet Champ

Because Hillegas didn't have any separation criteria, he and Edmond met in the second round in a sort of controversial match and one in which Hillegas pukes all over the place. Edmond then defaulted.

Former #1, Devin Winston (MO) - Craft (NJ), Default

Winston was the highest placing non-graduate last year. It was a feat that propelled him to Who's #1 and the top spot in the country. Craft beats him first round and it wasn't close.
