As a self-proclaimed foodie, I was inspired by NC State head assistant coach Adam Hall to create a food guide for Lincoln, Nebraska. I’ve lived in Lincoln for almost 13 years and have eaten at almost every restaurant in town. Here is a list of the best restaurants, bars, breweries and entertainment spots for all ages, meals, and taste buds.

Breakfast

Hub Cafe Farm to table; all locally sourced ingredients. One of our favorites.

Cultiva Coffee roastery offering a solid breakfast menu. Crepes are on point! Both sweet and savory.

The Green Gateau French-influenced contemporary American cuisine with a cozy atmosphere. Big menu with a ton of quality options.

John J’s Chow Hall On the first floor of the Graduate Hotel. Classic American fare and custom tiki drinks.

Tina's Cafe Good home cooking with cinnamon rolls as big as your head. The owners are big wrestling fans too!

Bonus: Method Cycles If you’re a waffle person, make time to visit this gem of a spot. Homemade Liége Waffles served up every Saturday and Sunday. ??

Lunch

Amu Ramen Hip spot serving Asian-inspired noodle bowls. Try it Godzilla style!

Hub Cafe Breakfast and lunch. Farm to table; all locally sourced ingredients.

Banhwich Cafe Vietnamese sandwich shop. Make sure to try the green waffle, and add the powdered sugar! Thank me later.

Bison Witches Bar and Deli Delicious deli specializing in sandwiches and bread bowl soups.

Bonus: The Watering Hole Best Wings in town hands down. Be sure to order them grilled!

Dinner

Copal Progressive Mexican cuisine, inspired by family recipes from Central and Southern Mexico, infused with pre-Hispanic fare and modern culinary trends.

Honest Abe’s Constantly rotating menu of crafted burgers and truffle fries. The premier burger spot in town.

Single Barrel If you want a steak, a drink, or both, you go to Single Barrel.

Yia Yia’s Fully customizable pizza featuring a list of fresh toppings a mile long. Not to mention the largest bottled beer selection in all of Lincoln with over 250 beers from across the globe.

Piedmont Bistro Amazing service and astonishing local food. This place is a neighborhood favorite.

Venue Chef-inspired dinner service. Delivering only the freshest, gourmet ingredients for recipes from around the world.

Blue Sushi Fresh sushi and seafood all responsibly sourced. Also hip spot with a nice patio section.

Bonus: MoMo Authentic Italian dishes and pizza made from scratch. The perfect place to gather with friends and family.

Fine Dining 

Sebastian’s Table Family style specializing in small shareable plates, with a very well curated and rotating menu.This is my wife’s favorite dinner spot!

DISH High-end American style fare in a comfortable upscale atmosphere. Specializing in from-scratch meals utilizing local products.

The Oven Northern Indian Cuisine which is known for its rich colors bold flavor profiles. I’m not a huge fan of Indian food but I’ve heard from people who are that it’s phenomenal.

Dessert

Goldenrod Pastries Inspired pastries for traditional and alternative diets. One of the best bakeries in the entire midwest. Check it out on IG if you don’t believe me (@goldenrodpastries)

Ivanna Cone Homemade ice cream with adventurous flavors. Cash only.

Coffee

The Mill - Lincoln staple. Quality service/product/ambiance always.

Crescent Moon Coffee - Quality crepes, pastries, and coffee. What more could you ask for?

The Coffee House - Downtown coffee shop intent on crafting the perfect cup for all taste buds.

Bonus: The Bay Coffeehouse/Skatepark and concert venue. Very cool multipurpose space.

Breweries

Green Flash Brewery Restaurant and taproom serving up to 12 beers on tap featuring seasonal, rare, and special releases brewed exclusively at the Lincoln Brewhouse.

Hopcat Nebraska's largest selection of Craft Beer and serving high-quality house-made food in a uniquely casual environment.

Boiler Brewing Company Boiler Brewing Company makes and serves big, bold beers in a world class tap room. Your glass will never be empty.

Bars

The Happy Raven THE craft beer bar in Lincoln. 18 well curated, constantly rotating taps and 100+ bottles. Awarded best beer bar in Nebraska in 2017 and 2018.

McKinney’s Irish Pub Irish Whiskeys, traditional Irish food, and 20 beers on tap!

The Other Room Hip speakeasy. Dedicated to creating a place for people to connect in a meaningful way. They also make outstanding cocktails.
