We rolled out our JR Trials Preview the other day. Now that brackets are up, we'll take a look at notable late entries or scratches, the interesting developments based on seeds and highlight the best early match ups. 


Entries

Anthony Cassioppi, who dominated his way through the Junior Open was a big favorite to win the HWT spot. He sat in the Best-of-3 finals but is not wrestling. Teammates Nelson Brands and Abe Assad - both 3rd at the Open, are also not entered. Patrick Glory (61) and Real Woods (65) are other notable US Open placers not wrestling here.

Jacori Teemer wrestled 70kg at the Open but was registered at 65. He's at 70 and is the 4 seed. 

The Open runner-up at 79kg, Shane Griffith, is at 74.


Seeding

57 - Last year's U23 Champ, Vito Arujau, is the #1 seed. He wrestled in the SR division at the Open.

61 - A runner-up here a year ago, Jordan Decatur is the 6 seed after not placing at the Open. 

70 - Teemer is the 4 seed

74 - 79kg Open Runner-up Shane Griffith is the 2 seed

92 - Kendall Norfleet who was a runner-up last at 86y ear didn't place at the Open. He bumped to 92 and is the 3 seed.

61 - Cadet Trials Runner-Up Frankie Tal-Shahar vs. Jevon Parrish who was 3rd at the Open

65 - Ed Scott vs. Keegan O'Toole and Lucas Revano vs. Josh Saunders

70 - Brock Mauller vs. 2x Fargo Runner-Up Jared Franek

74 - Jarrett Jacques vs. DJ Shannon

79 - Parker Keckeisen vs. Jackson Turley
