Pennsylvania state champ Ryan Vulakh has committed to wrestle for Rutgers in college.
Vulakh was the final uncommitted senior on the 2019 Big Board. He had previously signed with George Mason, but was granted a release earlier this spring and will now head to New Brunswick for school.
A three-time placer in PA, he finished his career as the #3 ranked 152 in the country. He went undefeated this past season, winning titles at Beast of the East, Powerade, and Escape the Rock before closing out with a AA state championship. Vulakh was third at Super 32 and previously won a FloNats title as well.
Projecting as a 149 or 157 on the next level, he joins a small but extremely talented recruiting classes for the Scarlet Knights. Vulakh will be added to a class that includes JoJo Aragona, Robert Kanniard, and Jackson Turley.
