Kyle Conel’s season, and possibly his career, has come to an end.
After an incredibly inspiring finish to his 2017-18 season where he became a fan favorite at Quicken Loans Arena, Conel will see his final campaign come to a close due to injury.
In a tweet, Conel made the announcement that his season was over:
I want to say thank you again to the wrestling community for changing my life. This sport has changed my life and I’ve become a better person because of it. Thank you everyone for your support over the years. It’s crazy how you guys made me feel like I’m on top of the world.

Earlier this season, Conel claimed a hard fought win over Matt Penyacsek where he had to fight through the pain of his injured shoulder, which was heavily wrapped up. Now he will have to have surgery which will leave him sidelined.
