What is Brackastrology? It is an appeal to the stars for their celestial wisdom. It is an attempt by mere mortals to divine the future. It is two ding dongs, specifically Spey and Nomad, giving their best effort at projecting what the NCAA Tournament brackets will look like. 

How accurate will our ding dongs be? It is likely that they will miss the mark by a wide margin. But that is not the point. What they are providing is a mere conversation starter, an imperfect prospectus. The fun begins after we construct our mythical brackets, or in this case, our list of 33 seeded wrestlers per weight class (the faux-brackets are coming soon). That is when the arguments, and the fun, will commence.

What does that mean for the team score? If calculate the team scores using the same method we use for the team tournament rankings, which does not factor in bonus points, you get the scores in the table below.

Of course, as mentioned before, it is insanely early in the season, so take these projections with a grain of salt. And in the future, we will hopefully have more time to dive into our potential brackets, and expand upon reasoning and indulge in potential fictitious matchups our fake brackets might yield. 

But our explanations will have to wait as it's already Thursday, with a full slate of action and new, brackastrology-altering results looming just on the horizon.
