in year 18 of the event, the Fall Brawl will officially make the jump from a high school gym to a full-blown arena.  For the first time, the Fall Brawl will also be streamed live on FloWrestling. On October 20, 2018, high school boys, high school girls, and middle schoolers will square off in a preseason bash at HY-VEE arena in Kansas City.

Tournament directors Joe Williamson and Chad Benshoof have joined event founder Jason Heslop of Blue Chip Wrestling to help take the event to the next level.  They have a goal of squashing the typical marathon wrestling event and are looking to create a fun, efficient environment that people will leave happy.

“The high school boys event had already become a preseason gauge for the Midwest. But in my eyes, the addition of the girl's high school division was something extremely important.” Joe Williamson said.  “We need to keep up with the sport and stay on the cutting edge and I feel like the women’s side of things is about to explode.  It just makes sense.”

When asked about the Fall Brawl, tournament director Chad Benshoof explained, “The Fall Brawl has always been a premier preseason tournament in the Midwest and gives athletes a look at different competitors from surrounding states. The 2018 edition of the Fall Brawl will do much of the same as it has wrestlers attending from 7 different states from across the Midwest and look for many more to attend as well as the event moves to the newly renovated Hy-Vee arena. The move to the new arena is going to allow us to showcase the Fall Brawl and will allow for growth in the coming years as we expand the divisions.”
