#3 Ridge Lovett Commits To Nebraska
Ridge Lovett has verbally committed to wrestle for the Nebraska Cornhuskers in college.

Ridge Lovett has verbally committed to wrestle for the Nebraska Cornhuskers after high school. He made the announcement on social media today.
That marks the second Top-100 verbal from the current group of seniors heading to Lincoln for college. Lovett joins Kevon Davenport, who committed about a month ago. The Huskers have also picked up Isaiah Alford, Tyler Deen, and John Henrich for this year's recruiting class.
A 2017 Cadet world team member in Greco-Roman, Lovett is currently ranked third at 132 pounds. His run to the Fargo finals this summer included wins over Beau Bartlett and Dylan D'Emilio.
After originally projecting Lovett as a 141, we now have him as the #3 prospect at 149 pounds for all high school grades. Either way, Lovett would be in prime position to take over for either Chad Red or Collin Purinton after they have graduated.
Before today, he was the third highest rated prospect on the Class of 2019 Big Board who had not yet committed. He is 17th overall on the Big Board, the only prospect from the state of Idado.

A double Fargo finalist in July, he placed third in Greco and fifth in freestyle there last year. He was also a double Fargo finalist as a Cadet back in 2016. About to start his senior season at Post Falls high school, he is a three-time Idaho 5A state champion. He was 40-0 at 98lbs as a freshman in 2016, went 34-0 as a 113 pound sophomore, and then went 45-0 this past season at 126.
