The decision is in for a top recruit from one of America''s high school powerhouses.

Ranked #13 in the latest Junior Big Board, Kai Bele of Lake Highland Prep in Florida will join the surging Wolfpack .

"I chose NC State based on the feel I got from the school, the wrestling program, and their approach to their goals. This aligned with my goal of bettering myself as a young man and a person chasing national and world titles. Coach Popolizio and the crew really lit a fire in me to want to chase my dreams and strive to see how far I can go."

With two more years of high school remaining, Bele has established himself as a top prospect with placings at Ironman and Powerade in his Sophomore campaign, to go along with an NHSCA Freshmen title where he beat California State Champ Dom Mata in the finals.

He chose NC State after recruiting trips to Iowa State, Wisconsin, and North Carolina.

Currently ranked 5th at 160, Bele is entered for Super 32 at the end of the month at 170lbs.

The commitment is the eleventh by a Top 100 Junior so far.

Last year, NC State earned the the program's first NCAA team trophy, taking 4th with 80 points. Their 2016 recruiting class was ranked #1 in the country

Six wrestlers are committed for 2019 along with Bele in the 2020 Class.
