Not many people have accomplished what Anthony Artalona will be looking to do this weekend in Fargo, ND.

Georgia’s Sean Hage completed a four-year run in which he claimed a freestyle title in each year. The only other person to win four straight freestyle titles before him was Alan Fried (1986-1989), who was the first and only wrestler to do so until Hage. The only difference is that Hage kicked off his run with a Cadet freestyle title before claiming three straight in the Junior division, while all four of Fried’s titles came as a Junior.

Since it was done by Hage, only Andrew Alton and Garrett Lowney have added their names to the list of guys to win four straight. Alton did so with a pair of Cadet titles followed up by a pair of Junior titles from 2006-09. Lowney's came on the heels of Hage's from 1995-98 and was done the exact same way.

This year, Artalona will enter the tournament at 152 and look to join this rare company as the Florida native looks to snag his fourth straight freestyle title. Like Hage and Lowney, Artalona’s run started with a Cadet freestyle title (in 2015) when he took out Jaryn Curry 11-4. Since then he's had two more flawless freestyle performances in the Fargodome, winning Junior titles over Cadet world champ Jarod Verkleeren, 2-1 in 2016, and against this past season’s Southern Scuffle champ Kaden Gfeller, 6-4 in 2017.

Before we throw it back to Artalona's three title-winning matches, we have to talk about one of the biggest Fargo history makers, the person who has outdone them all and owns five straight titles—Teshya Alo. She rewrote the history books when she claimed her fifth straight in 2015.

Now as we get closer to Artalona making his final run in Fargo, let’s take a look at the Penn recruit's three title-clinching performances.
