Mark Bader remembers one of the most epic college matches in American history:

So many great matches and moments make this nearly impossible to choose just one. But I'm gonna go with some college wrestling. The 2016 NCAA heavyweight finals were amazing. It pitted 2x defending NCAA Champion Nick Gwiazdowski vs 2015 NCAA runner-up (at 197) and 2015 World Champion Kyle Snyder. Not often is the heavyweight match the most anticipated finals. Not only was that the case at the 2016 NCAA's, the match delivered.

Snyder was in redshirt the first semester before Ohio State put him in the line up at heavyweight. At a sold out Madison Square Garden Gwiz out scrambled Snyder to have an lead late in the match. A late takedown and ride out for Snyder forced overtime where Snyder got the takedown and prevailed. That might the heavyweights stole the show. Snyder went on to win the Olympics that summer and one year later the two were teammate at the 2017 World Championships where Gwiazdowski earned a bronze and Snyder, yet again, came home with a gold medal which sealed the team title for USA.
