It was probably the most anticipated matchup of the weekend.
Everyone at Final X in Lincoln, NE, on Saturday was waiting to see if the youngster, Daton Fix, had what it took to make his first Senior world team by knocking off the guy who held last year's 57kg spot, Thomas Gilman. The first bout gave us a bit of the action we were looking for as each guy picked up some scores. And as we waited with anticipation to see the adjustments in match two and if Fix could force a third match, we saw a flawless defensive display from Gilman.
