Our first Final X is in the books and what we saw from our athletes had us watching with anticipation from start to finish.

Over the years we’ve gotten to know our top wrestlers and seen them light up scoreboards against some top level opponents. But we aren’t the only ones that have grown into a sense of familiarity with these men and women, some of them have also become quite familiar with each other. In some cases that produced some low scoring and tentatively wrestled bouts in Lincoln, NE. But with our first few slots on this year’s men’s and women’s World Team filled in, let’s take a look at the numbers to see the breakdown of scoring.

One column we can throw a zero in before doing any digging is the one for challenges. Throughout the entire night, which consisted on seven matches, there was not one challenge or really a challengeable moment.

But anyway, let’s get to the scoring breakdown.

On the first weekend of Final X we had 33 takedowns, eight turns, 14 stepouts, 1 four-point move and seven passive points dished out. We've got two more locations to hit with 13 matches left where we will get plenty more action.
