Contenders:

  • Jacob Raschka
  • Jakob Woodley
  • John Borst
  • Lucas Davison
  • Kevin Snyder
  • Jacob Warner

One of the names sticking out among these six title favorites is Jacob Warner, a Cadet world medalist. He’s finished at the top of the podium many times in Fargo in both freestyle and Greco and had an eye-opening redshirt season this past year in which he dominated two-time All-American Willie Miklus.

Though Warner had a pretty successful year, he did take a significant loss to Jakob Woodley at the UNI Open. Woodley is also registered for the U.S. Open, and a rematch between the two would surely bring fireworks.

Fellow redshirt John Borst has had his share of freestyle success as well, with a runner-up finish in Fargo on his resume. Jacob Raschka is another guy we’ve seen on the Fargo stage before. Raschka has some freestyle chops that could bode well here.
