After winning a spot on his first junior world team in 2017, Gable Steveson teased the idea of moving up to the senior level this year.
Now it’s all coming full circle for the 17-year-old, as he is entering to compete in the 125kg senior freestyle division at the 2018 U.S. Open on April 27-28 in Las Vegas. Currently, the most notable competitor in the field is Dom Bradley, who is a two-time U.S. Open champion and 2016-17 Pan Am champ.
Since making the junior world team last year, Steveson has done a great deal of winning at not only the international level but also against college and high school competition. Here is a timeline of the University of Minnesota signee's accomplishments since last year's WTT.
