Fresno State Cracks Top 5 In Attendance In First Year Back

In its first year of existence since 2006, Fresno State was able to average the fifth-highest home attendance in all of NCAA wrestling.

In its first year of existence since 2006, Fresno State was able to average the fifth-highest home attendance in all of NCAA wrestling. The Bulldogs packed in an average of 4,566 fans into the Save Mart Center in Fresno, CA, in their six home dual meets. This is according to attendance numbers for the 2017-18 college season published today on The Open Mat. 

The #1 team last season was the Iowa Hawkeyes, who averaged 8,998 fans at their home duals. Coming in second by average attendance was Penn State at 7,693. Third and fourth were Ohio State and Rutgers at 6,681 and 4,680 respectively.
