We got a full house of Flo people watching in the Pyles' domicile. But I've fought my way to a choice seat in front of the TV so as ply my live blogging skills, I mean so as to provide instant match updates.

125: #4 Nathan Tomasello, OSU vs Carson Kuhn, PSU

1st period: It's Kuhn's Nittany Lion debut and he comes out firing. NaTo checks him and gets a go behind. Quick let up and it's 2-1 already. A flurry and Kuhn comes out behind and has the lead. The crowd is getting in to it. On the edge of the mat, NaTo escapes AND A HEADLOCK FROM OUT OF NOWHERE GIVES KUHN 2 MORE! Tomasello gets thrown into scorers table and they'll restart after Coach Ryan chats with the ref. Let up and takedown for Nato, then another release and now its tied up, 6-6. And another takedown for Kuhn! Kuhn is riding NaTo tough. Restart with 26 seconds left and the PSU crowd is pumped! NaTo escapes but the period ends with Kuhn holding on to a one point lead. What a start.

2nd period: NaTo on bottom and Kuhn rides for a few seconds before NaTo sits and escapes to once again knot the score. Tomasello on a single and comes behind for the lead. NaTo is going to try and ride for a bit. Now he's got a two on one and looking for a roll through tilt. NaTo gets a full set of back points and rides out the rest of the period. It's 14-8 and sanity is returning to Rec Hall.

3rd period: A mat return for NaTo and then he cuts and takes Kuhn down to make it 16-9. Another escape and takedown and it's 18-10. Same thing and it's 20-11. NaTo with riding time too. An escape in the final seconds but it's still a major decision for Tomasello, 21-12.

Team score: OSU 4, PSU 0

133: #2 Luke Pletcher, OSU vs Corey Keener, PSU

1st period: No scores in the first minute but then Pletcher gets a snap down and almost go-behind before changing direction and securing the 2. Keener fights to his feet but Pletcher gets in on a single and makes it 4-1. Keener almost manages a reversal but Pletcher holds on barely at the edge. They restart with 30 to go in the 1st. Keener gets an escape in short time and the period ends 4-2.

2nd period: Keener starts on bottom and stands immediately. It's 4-3. Keener dives in on a single but Pletcher blocks him and they are still in neutral. Now Keener fends off some shots and we're under 30 in the 2nd. That's how the period ends.

3rd period: Pletcher's turn on bottom. Keener trying to ride out and get the RT under a minute for Pletcher. He does, they go out of bounds with RT at 56 seconds. Finally Pletcher is out but RT not a factor. It's 5-3 Pletcher. Keener trying to even the score but Pletcher catches his shot and is too strong to let Keener finish. Under 30 to go. The fans want stalling but Pletcher is mostly standing his ground. There's the first warning. They go out of bound, looks like Pletcher circles to stay in but the hit him with stalling anyway, but only with 1 second left so it's academic. Pletcher takes the second match by decision, 5-4.

Team score: OSU 7, PSU 0

#11 141: Joey McKenna, OSU vs #6 Nick Lee, PSU

1st period: The first toss up of the dual. A single leg shot for McKenna, Lee turns away and pushes McKenna head down but McKenna is too strong and collects the hips and gets 2. Lee goes for a switch but McKenna pulls him back underneath. Lee reaches back and continues to look for the reversal. McKenna racks up 1:04 of RT before Lee finally escapes making it 2-1. Single leg for Lee and he fights through a whizzer and now its 3-2 Lee. McKenna up to his feet but Lee gets a big mat return and the crowd comes alive. Lee rides McKenna out to end the period and the applause is loud.

2nd period: Lee chooses down and McKenna starts working for a tilt immediately. It's so close to back points but the ref doesn't give consecutive swipes. McKenna has 1:45 of RT before Lee escapes. It's 4-2 and they're in neutral. Time running out, and in the final seconds McKenna hits a single leg and limp arms out as time runs out. They give the 2 and there is no challenge. It's 4-4 going into the 3rd.

3rd period: McKenna starts on bottom. He escapes in less than 10 seconds. 1:37 of RT and its 5-4. Now Lee gets a clutch takedown and its 6-5 Lee. But McKenna gets out almost instantly. It's 6-6 now and McKenna has 1:32 of RT. McKenna shoots and they go into a scramble. They both have far ankles with 10 seconds to go. The ref stalemates it. 10 seconds in neutral. Lee can't get it done. McKenna wins another decision in a pivotal match.

Team score: OSU 10, PSU 0

149: #6 Ke-Shawn Hayes, OSU vs #1 Zain Retherford, PSU

1st period: Zain will try to get Penn State back in the match. A minute in and no scores. Some half shots but nothing half way through the 1st. Hayes with a good low level shot but Retherford catches him and has him in a front headlock. No score halfway through the 1st and we've got blood time for Hayes. Now it's Zain's shot and Haye's tries to throw him by. And he gets two! And immediately cuts him. They're at the edge of the mat and it's 2 more for Hayes! On the restart Retherford reverses and now he's getting swipes! It's just 2, and Zain rides out the period to make it 5-4.

2nd period: They start on their feet. It takes Zain about a minute and he goes high crotch to a double and makes it 7-4. Retherford looking to go bow and arrow. They roll through but no swipes. The bow is going again and and with a football hold Zain gets four backs. That's how the period ends, 11-4.

3rd period: Retherford takes top and goes to work doing Zain things. Retherford is ferocious on top, with legs in and and arms being pulled apart. There is two back. And a stall point. Now it's a power half being cranked, Zain will have four more. And the match ends with Retherford getting the techfall. Zain lost the takedown battle 2-1 but dominated on top.

Team score: OSU 10, PSU 5

157: #5 Micah Jordan, OSU vs Bo Pipher

1st period: The first of three Bo's taking the mat right now. Nolf is out with a knee injury, return time unknown. A single leg for Micah and he climbs up and finished after a minute of wrestling. Pipher is right out and its 2-1. A couple quick takedowns makes it 6-2, Micah in control. Jordan with the fourth takedown of the of the period and he rides out the period and the score is 8-3.

2nd period: The second period starts in neutral. Outside step lefty high crotch from Micah (thanks Mike Mal for that) and it's quickly 10-3. Escape and then Pipher defends a shot but the double leg re-attack makes it 12-4. Catch and release and its 14-5. Micah almost had a cradle. Now its 16-6 and the period ends.

3rd period: Jordan starts on bottom. He's up and out, there's a scrable, and it's 18-6. Make that 20-7. Its tough keeping up at the moment. Jordan nearly with the tech. 22-8, and 24-9 will do it. Jordan by fall of the technical variety.

Team score: OSU 15, PSU 5

We've reached half time of our real super bowl. I'll try (and likely fail) to catch some of the typos that I have accumulated over the first 5 matches.

165: #14 Te'shan Campbell, OSU vs #1 Vincenzo Joseph, PSU

1st period: And we're back. Hand fighting and collar ties after one but no scores. Campbell works an underhook and Joseph is perfectly all right with that. Joseph in on a single and powers his way for two. Cenzo riding tough and we've got a minute to go in the 1st. Campbell gets an escape with some time to work. Joseph shoots but  Campbell defends. The period ends 2-1 Joseph.

2nd period: Joseph starts on bottom and is out and has exactly 1 minute of RT. Now its 3-1, but Campbell goes hands to the face, apparently for the second time and its another point for Joseph. Ryan wants a conference with the refs but its for nought. 4-1 Joseph. Joseph working various unders and overs and then posts an elbow and freight trains Campbell for two more.

3rd period: Campbell on bottom to start the third. He's out after 20 seconds, Jospeh with riding time, soon to be locked up. Jospeh gets an angle and is looking side cradle, but Campbell fights out of it. Joseph switches to a single leg and converts. Its 8-2. Joseph needs another score to get to a major. With 18 seconds left Joseph essentially gets a push out point as Campbell goes out of bounds and gives up a stall point. With 10 second left Jospeh gets another take down to ice it. Joseph gets a major for the Nittany Lions.

Team score: OSU 15, PSU 9

174: #3 Bo Jordan, OSU vs #2 Mark Hall, PSU

1st period: The first of two, premier matchups in a row. Hall in on a single, trying to run the pike. BoJo cuts the corner. And they award Bo 2! Jordan has legs in, and Hall takes a leg, scrambles to his feet, then skies it and front trips for a reversal. They restart and Hall lets Bo up, so its 3-2 Jordan. Lots of hand fighting, and the period ends 3-2.

2nd period: Hall gets a cross body ride. He has Bo's left knee bent and scissored. We get a stalemate after Hall racks up 24 seconds of RT. Jordan hits a switch on the whistle and gets the escape. It's 4-2, RT not a factor. Collar ties but not a lot of action for either guy. Period ends and its 4-2.

3rd period: Hall takes bottom and is out quickly. it's 4-3, RT not a factor still. It's crunch time. And Hall hits a beautiful duck under for 2. Hall leads 5-4. And we get a stalemate for some reason. BoJo standing, Hall still riding, BoJo almost with a reversal. But Hall stays calms and keeps riding. RT over a minute. Hall still riding. Less than 10 seconds to go and Hall starts shaking his head up and down. He knows he's going to take it. The crowd is fired up as Hall wins 6-4.

Team score: #OSU 15, PSU 12

184: #2 Myles Martin, OSU vs #1 Bo Nickal, PSU

1st period: Another absolute banger coming up. Nickal Myles round 7. Upper body ties. Neither wrestler has any fear in any position. Two minutes down and no scores yet. Not much in the way of level changes either. Now Nickal goes low, but Martin counters with an outside trip. He can't bring Nickal down but he's behind him. Martin front trips from behind and Nickal hits a granby. This scramble is crazy. Nickal looking for a cradle. I can't explain this scramble you'll need to watch the replay. Nickal finishes a single and Martin goes into the scorers table, into the same part of it that Tomasello got headlocked into. Nickal gets 2. Coach Ryan will challenge. Good luck refs, I have no idea what I just saw. Ohio State wanted the no reaction from rear standing for Martin, but they won't get it. Challenge denied. Martin stands and escapes on the restart and its 2-1 Nickal after the first.

2nd period: Nickal chooses down. Nickal stands and Martin thinks about a mat return and instead pushes him away. Martin goes low and snatches up an ankle. They go into a scramble and Nickal does Nickal things. They wrestle into a stalemate. It's 3-1 with 30 seconds in the 2nd. Left high crotch for Nickal now and Martin tries to cut the corner. Nickal finds Martin's other leg, finishes and gets the ride out to end the second 5-1.

3rd period: Martin's turn on bottom. He works his way out and Nickal immediately fires off another high crotch. A scramble but Nickal prevails once again. It's 7-2, Nickal in control. Nickal working a variety of holds on top. Martin unable to escape this time. With time running out, Nickal goes bow and arrow and gets swipes. He gets 2 more as time runs out. Plus RT will make it a 10-2 major. Nickal fires up the crowd as he runs off the mat, PSU with their first lead.

Team score: OSU 15, PSU 16

197: #1 Kollin Moore, OSU vs Anthony Cassar, PSU

1st period: It'll be Cassar, not #7 Shakur Rasheed, but Cassar would be ranked if he had been getting the majority of the starts recently instead of Rasheed. Two very large 197 pounders out there right now. Nifty re-attack by Cassar, has Moore leg in the air. But Moore wriggles free at the edge of the mat. Moore pushes Cassar out of bounds and the refs hit Cassar for a stall warning. Time runs out in the first and it's 0-0.

2nd period: Moore starts on bottom and is quickly out. 1-0 Moore. Cassar fires off a double and converts, now in the lead 2-1. Moore gets out again to knot the score 2-2. Time runs out in the second with no other scores.

3rd period: Cassar chooses down and Moore goes option start. Pressures on for both wrestlers. 3-2 Cassar. Moore now looks for a a firemans but Cassar wrestles out of it. They're in a scramble. Cassar gets around for two! He's up 5-2. A stalemate with 24 seconds to go. Moore sits out and Cassar holds on to him. RT over a minute for Cassar now. Cassar rides out, but he's too low and gets hit for stalling. It doesn't matter. Cassar upsets the number one wrestler in the nation. With RT its 6-3. The crowd is going nuts for Cassar.

Team score: OSU 15, PSU 19

285: #1 Kyle Snyder, OSU vs #6 Nick Nevills, PSU

1st period: This is what we all wanted right. The match is living up its billing. If Snyder majors it'll go to criteria, and then it'll be total points scored. Nevills arm drag to a single leg. He's got Snyder's leg up in the air. He converts for 2! Nevills has the lead! Snyder escapes, and goes snap down go behind. An escape and it's 3-3. Snyder in on another shot, Nevills dives through and grabs an ankle. Nevills gets a stalemate. Snyder gets another single leg and this time catches Nevills in a roll and grabs the lead. A super quick escape and snap and go behind makes it 7-4. Coach Sanderson challenging the escape.

Still in the challenge. They're taking their time with this. According to our stat nerds (ie The Wrestling Nomad), Snyder needs to win by 13 or more for Ohio State to win on tiebreaker. The call stands, and Snyder cuts him with less than 20 seconds on the restart. He can't get the takedown in short time so we go to second, Snyder leading 7-5.

2nd period: Snyder cuts again and its 7-6. Snyder gets through Nevills defenses and lifts all of Nevills into the air. Its like his lift of Medbury as Snyder slams Nevills down on the mat. It's 9-6 Snyder. Snyder looks for a lat drop but misses! Nevills covers for two! Snyder escapes but he wasted a lot of time and points. A takedown for Snyder and its 12-9. He'll ride out the period.

3rd period: If Nevills avoids the major its a win for Penn State. Snyder on bottom, he escapes and its 13-9. A minute to go. The crowd is on their feet. A takedown and release makes it 15-10. Final seconds. Shot by Snyder and time ticks away as they're still in a scramble. It's just a minor decision. Penn Sate takes the dual of the century OF THE WEEK.

FINAL TEAM SCORE: PSU 19, OSU 18

Thanks for reading along with us and sorry for the typos. Enjoy the other sports ball game tomorrow. Don't forget to check out more wrestling live on Flo before hand though!
