Another super match is coming, and this time it features a pair of world champions.

Ranked third at 220lb, Daniel Kerkvliet is bumping up to face top-ranked heavyweight Gable Steveson in a dual meet between their Inver Grove Heights (MN) Simley and Apple Valley (MN) teams on Friday night.

After the dual, which is Simley is hosting, you can watch archived footage of every single match on FloWrestling.

This past summer both Steveson, an Apple Valley senior, and Kerkvliet, a junior at Simley, brought home freestyle world titles from the Cadet and Junior World Championships.

Kerkvliet's title at 100kg kept the streak of Team USA heavyweight champs going, which was started by Steveson, who won back-to-back Cadet titles in 2015 and 2016.

Steveson continued his dominance by winning his first junior world title last year. Earlier this season, the three-time world champion entered his first college tournament and completely dominated the field.

At one point, Steveson and Kerkvliet were going to be teammates, as they had both verbally committed to Minnesota. But Kerkvliet changed his mind and is now heading to Oklahoma State. This could be the first installment of a college rivalry in the making.
