When USA Wrestling overhauled its membership website, a key focus was to provide more efficient service for club leaders and parents while continuing to serve the growing membership rolls. 

Memberships for the 2017-18 season have been available since August 2017, and the results have been strong and encouraging. 

Membership numbers are already over 50 percent of last year's total signups. Wrestling club leaders have been taking advantage of the new website's features that allow them to upload rosters directly to the membership system all at once. Parents have also been utilizing a new tool that allows them to claim multiple profiles, giving them control both their own and their family's data and memberships from a single account. 

Here are a few key facts about the website and its functionality:

• It has complete integration with other databases (background screening, U.S. Center for SafeSport, event management software)
• Historical data for profiles has been migrated over, making it a seamless transition for current members
• Users will set up an account and will claim their profile (or multiple profiles of their children)
• Club directors and administrators will be able to renew and add new members with ease
• If so desired, individuals will be able to affiliate with multiple clubs

Responses to the new website have been overwhelmingly positive. Signups through the first four months of the membership period are well ahead of pace from the previous two years for athletes, coaches, and officials. 

USA Wrestling's Director of State Services Tony Black explains his enthusiasm for the new website and the advantages it brings to the wrestling community:

We’re excited about where the membership system is going to be in the future. We knew at day one there would be challenges with the change, as there always is, but we know that it makes the experience much smoother for club admins and parents.

New features are being added constantly, allowing USA Wrestling to build on the improvements already made and continue to seek a better experience for its members.
