Josh Hokit Lights Up The Field & The Mat For Fresno State
Josh Hokit recently led the Fresno State football and wrestling teams to historic wins.
As a dual sport star at Fresno State, Josh Hokit recently had the opportunity to lead the Bulldogs' football and wrestling teams to a pair of historic wins just days apart.
On December 24, the Fresno State sophomore suited up at running back and grinded out 64 yards on 11 carries in the Bulldogs' 33-27 win over Houston in the Hawaii Bowl — Fresno State's first bowl win since 2007.
Just 11 days later, he was on the mat at 197 pounds earning his first win of the season when he went big to get the fall against Ryan Anderson of Cal Poly. That pin sealed the Bulldog's first D1 dual meet win since being reinstated this season.
Watch Hokit’s big wrestling debut:
Hokit had an impressive football season in which he amassed 600 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns, along with 107 receiving yards and two touchdowns as a passer. Now he turns his focus to the mat as he looks to continue his winning ways.
Hokit and the Bulldogs are in action once again on Friday against Utah Valley live on FloWrestling at 9 PM CT.
