We're back for another round of updates and mat assignments at the 55th Midlands in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. You can also the action LIVE ON FLO. And yes, we have FloZone!

Championship matches will be on Mats 6 through 10. Suriano already up on Mat 6, Lee on deck Mat 10! Gromacki taking on Moisey on mat 7. Gromacki has a win over Moisey at the Clarion Open already this season. #16 Rivera looking for bonus against Jimenez on Mat 2.

Suriano dominates his match and advances. Second seed Sean Russell now on Mat 6 against Kyle Akins. Ronnie Bresser moves on with a pinfall. Spencer Lee makes quick work of his opponent as well. Moisey gets revenge with a 2-0 win over Gromacki. Rivera comes up one point shy of a tech over Jimenez. Welch Hudkins are the last 125 round of 16 wrestlers to face off but it should be a good one on mat 8. Russell beats Akins 5-2.

133 Pounders coming up now. #1 ranked Seth Gross will take on Garrett Pepple next on Mat 7. ISU's Simmons taking on ASU's Naser on Mat 9, followed by Valdivez v DelVecchio. Pitt's Micky Phillippi takes on Iowa's Phillip Laux on Mat 10. 4 versus 9 seeds in Illinois' Dylan Duncan and ODU's Claeb Richardson wrestle on Mat 8.

Gross cruises to a tech fall victory. Lantry advances with a 5-3 victory over Simon. DelVecchio advances with a 7-5 win, although the match was not as close as the score would indicate.

Iowa's unattached Max Murin is on deck to wrestle Colton Schilling on Mat 10. #1 seed Mason Smith will wrestle Michael Carr on mat 6. After those two Mike Van Brill and Yahya Thomas will scrap on 6. Cole Martin and Nate Limmex are up on Mat 10. Two Big Ten foes, Vince Turk and Cole Weaver, going at it on Mat 9.

Schilling ends Murin's championship run with a pinfall. Iowa's Carter Happel moves on after a 9-2 victory over Penn's Jacob Lizak. #14 Tyler Smith prevails and makes the quarters. After a big 6 point moved in the first, Yahya Thomas holds on to win 8-3 over Mike Van Brill.

Heavy hitters coming up. Sorensen on deck Mat 8. Tsirtsis up next on Mat 9. Kolodzik next on Mat 10. Eleazer DeLuca and Steve Bleise in a good one on Mat 7 right now. After Sorensen we'll get Bannister and Deakin on Mat 8. UNC's O'Conner will see Iowa's Glosser on 6 next. ASU's Josh Marcua v Iowa's Pat Lugo will be on 7 after Bleise and DeLuca.

After an early scare, Brandon Sorensen racks up 26 points to win by tech fall over Kevin Budock. Matt Kolodzik cruises to an 11-3 win over Evan Fidelibus. Austin O'Conner wins and gets to the quarterfinals, as does Eleazer DeLuca over Steve Bleise. Ryan Deakin majors Baby J Bannister. Jason Tsirtsis survices in ultimate tiebreakers and wins on riding time CRITERIA over Eric Barone. Maruca barely scrapes by Lugo in a thriller. #2 seed Justin Oliver with a major decision.

#2 in the nation Michael Kemerer is on deck on Mat 9. Staudenmeyer vs in Laster in an all Ivy battle (though Laster is a post-grad) next on Mat 7. Joe Velliquette will face Griffin Parriott soon on Mat 8. #11 in the top 20 Luke Zilverberg gets tested on Mat 10. RU's Van Brill and Wisconsin's Crone next on 6. 

Danishek pinfalls to move on to the quarters. Kemerer with a first period fall over Donner to advance. Zilverberg holds in on sudden victory to win 4-2. Crone takes out the second Van Brill brother. Joey Velli with a buzzer beater over Parriott to advance. Shields and Staudenmayer both win.

Anthony Valencia will wrestle Fritz Hoehn on Mat 10. Princeton's Schleifer will be on Mat 6. ASU's Josh Shields on Mat 8. Purdue's Jacob Morrisey will see Iowa RS freshman Kaleb Young on Mat 7. U23 world champ Richie Lewis will see the tenacious Zac Carson after Valencia and Hoehn on Mat 10. Bearse v Betha on deck Mat 8. Brown's Viruet will see Maryland's Burnham on Mat 9. Carr and parks will wrestle on 6. The Bull will wrestle next on Mat 9.

Jonn Schleifer wins a convincing major decision over Logan Peterson. A. Valencia majors Hoehn and is on to the quarterfinals. Bethea with a commanding victory over Bearse in an all-Ivy tilt. Richie Lewis wins a gritty match and is in to the quarterfinal round. Marinelli with the 3rd period fall to punch his ticket to the next round.

#1 ranked Zahid Valencia on deck Mat 7. CJ Brucki and AJ Pedro on deck on Mat 6. Garrett Sutton and Seldon Wright slated to go next on Mat 8. Familiar foes Lydy and Skatzka will wrestler on 9 after Marinelli and Blankenship. Rookie Mikey LaBriola will wrestle the veteran Josh Ugalde on 6. Top seeded Nate Jackson will see Sohrab Movahedi on 10. 

Zahid cradles up and pins Gancayco. Sutton squeaks by Wright 2-1. Brucki stops the young Pedro 5-1. Kocer tech falls his way into the next round. Harvard's Josef Johnson moves on with a regular decision. Lyldy beats Skatzka in OT to make the quarters, and Sebastian beats Pagano in the battle of Jersey kids. LaBriola continues his championship quest with a 7-5 win over Ugalde.

Brown's LaFragola will get Iowa's Bowman on Mat 9. 2X FloNats champ Dakota Geer will get Nino Bonaccorsi on Mat 8. SDSU's Ayers and CMU's Ellingwood are on deck on Mat 6 and MacCallum and Parker are slated for Mat 7. After Jackson/Movahedi it will be Illinois' Parker and Purdue's Lyon on 10. Clarion's Bulsak and Ruthgers' Gravina next on 8. SDSU's Mueller will take on Lehigh's unattached Ammerman nest on 7.

EMU gets a quarterfinalist in MacCullum. LaFragola injury defaults and Bowman advances. Ellingwood scores a 10-1 major over Ayers. Ammerman picks up a fall to advance. Bonacorsi wins in tiebreakers over Geer. Parker manhandles Lyon 16-4 and is into the quarters. Gravina hangs on to win a tight won over Bulsak, 3-2.

Big boys on the way. Lane and Brunner will be on Mat 6. Top seeded Nate Rotert is coming up on 9. Mulligan taking on Reinhardt on 7, followed by Cade Belshay and Jake Smith. Mattiace and Schuyler will wrestler next on 8. Pat Brucki of Princeton and Jordan Atienza of Central Michigan are on 9. Wilcke and Gentile are battling on 10. 

Brunner advances with a 8-1 victory over Lane. Mulligan just barely escapes Reinhardt 2-1. Rotert cruises into the quarters with a 6-1 win. WVU's Jake Smith advances over ASU's Belshay 5-2. Mattiace is in the quarters with a 6-3 victory.

Tanner Hall and Michael Markulec are up on Mat 6 to kick off the heavies. Stoll with stroll with Garren on Mat 9. Butterbrodt of Brown will face Parker of Ohio on 10. Billy Miller and Matt Correnti are wrestling on Mat 5. Mats 1, 2, 3 and 4 also all feature championship heavyweight bouts, so we'll wrap up this round shortly.
