College wrestling fans will catch their first glimpse of junior world champion Daton Fix against NCAA competition this Sunday at the Reno Tournament of Champions in Reno, NV. Fix will wrestle unattached with an Oklahoma State squad consisting of mostly redshirts and backups.

Fix has registered at 125 pounds, ending speculation about where he will start his collegiate career. The Oklahoma native has plenty of time to move up, however. With three Cowboy All-Americans at the first three weights, Fix is expected to remain on redshirt for the rest of the year.

Fix will face stout competition in Reno. Twenty-two Division I athletes are registered at 125, out of a total expected bracket of 44. Chief among the opposing title contenders are No. 8 Sean Fausz of NC State and Oregon State's Ronnie Bresser, who is making his first collegiate appearance of the season.

Joining Fix in Reno will be another highly touted Oklahoma State redshirt freshman in Kaden Gfeller at 141 pounds. Gfeller will be thrown in to what is shaping up to be one of the toughest 141-pound brackets of any tournament this year, with three of last year's All-Americans registered to compete. Second-ranked Kevin Jack, No. 4 Bryce Meredith, and No. 5 Jaydin Eierman are all expected to make an appearance Sunday.

Action begins at noon ET (9 AM PT). You can find every registered wrestler in the college section of the Reno Tournament of Champions entry in FloArena.
